One does not need to have a "Media" title in front of his name to produce content for Meepcraft.
One does need a "Helper" title to do moderation work on Meepcraft properly.

That's why media applications are not a priority.

Let's say I am interested in becoming a Media guy for Meepcraft. That should mean I enjoy working with media related stuff - creating videos mostly. Do I need to get a title of acknowledgment to do my hobby? To contribute to Meepcraft? Not really, it gives me no additional tools. The thing that looks bad is not the applications itself sitting a long time in a queue, it's the applicants doing nothing in the meanwhile. Why don't the people ask around, whether there is something they can do?

On the other hand, a helper without Prism is as good as non existent. He needs permissions to do what he applied to do.

Yesterday, (may @allah forgive me for uttering this name), @Zer0000000000 posted an application onto your website. The application was obviously a troll application, she copied another user's app and changed absolutely nothing about it. This idea was both of ours, and it was seriously an incredibly funny experience. The person we stole the application from, @SpongeyStar, commented on the thread before it got deleted, acknowledging the joke and laughing with us.

Today the application was deleted. I want a simple answer. Why?

Why delete it? What harm does this thread do? Seriously, there is so little new content on this site that everything should be embraced. I don't get the purpose of enforcing rules that do nothing but take away the fun from the server.

Hey moderator who deleted it, here's a message for you. Do you know the great ex-staff members Deinen, MrsMegan, Rosenow, all those legends? Wanna know what made them similar? They were fun. They recognized this was a game and that a game's main purpose is to be fun. You, on the other hand, probably pride yourself on having a single position of power in any portion of your life. You are probably, in the real world, a shy loser who can't ask for an extra ketchup packet at McDonald's. Recognize that you only ban people to stroke your ego and that you're making this already dead server a little less fun.

 

Hello Old Pals,

I just wanted to remember the old times a bit. I haven't played dedicated time to minecraft in ages. I still come online occasionally to play some mini games. My life's great right now! I have a wonderful girlfriend and I'm finishing college up while working part time. Yet, I still feel like I'm missing something. I'm 20 now almost turning 21. I still sit there and think back to the times I was younger. Years ago back in 2012, I found was a naive 12 year old looking for a good server on minecraft. I wasn't new to minecraft as I played on many servers prior to finding Meepcraft. Yet, one day I found Meepcraft online on one of those server lists. I instantly was invited by many players who invited me to a town. This is where I began my Meep journey. A naive 12 year old just trying to find pals online. I felt so welcome by the members that played back then. Times were different in the beginning.

Minecraft was a newer game back then. Meepcraft was a new server and still had on average 40 players online. Towny was much bigger back then and the idea of creating the biggest empire/nation was awesome! It inspired many young builders to spend hours mining, working, and building their personal wealth and status. Back then it wasn't just being the richest person. It was about being the friendliest person with the most friends. I was never the best at building. Yet, I found many friends who I could spend hours online talking on skype. I never was the best builder, but PVP was where I found many of my old pals. I joined a team/town back in day called Clockwork. There I found my place among 30 or 40 other active members who loved to just chill and talk online. We never spent hours upon hours on building like some players. If I could count how many hours I spent running in circles around a town, or around spawn. I would've spent well over 1000 hours just running in circles.

I wasn't just wasting time though. I was enjoying my place in the community we all shared. I could go online at any point of the day and find someone I have talked to previously. This is what a community was. I could join at 6 am and talk to friends in Australia or the Philippines. Or I could play with other friends all over North America from 3 pm after school till midnight. I could always find a friend to play with.

I will always look back at Meepcraft for helping me through my awkward middle school years. Within a couple months I was apart of a huge community of players. All different kinds of people from all different places and backgrounds. If Meepcraft wasn't there I would've never found the friends I did back then. I find sadness in knowing that High school had caused me stop talking to the old friends I made on here. If ya'll are taking the time to read this and you're a MeepVet please contact me! I miss yall friends and I want to reach out!

Meepcraft was the best server to me because it had everything. I don't want to call Fuzzlr out, but he never has been totally focused on this server. I don't blame the guy as life growing up is hard. It's always been hard to find time for minecraft with school. Now it's summer and I have some free time before school, I keep thinking of this dang server and the old times I used to have. I found so many friends on this server and I wish I kept those relationships going.

Meepcraft wasn't the most popular server due to all the different game modes, or Towny, or the economy. Meepcraft was popular because people could find solace in logging in and always having a friend. I could come online and build, or mine, or PVP. No matter what Meepcraft was always online with active players to talk to. I wish this server could come back to its former glory. I hope it does with all my heart. I'll be happy to come back and play on the great Towny server Meepcraft. I hope I can one day log onto minecraft and see 100+ people on the server. Again, I hope any old vets contact me on here or on skype. You can find my skype username is im2klassy. I miss talking to my old pals on here. I know many of you will never read this, but if you do please hit me up to play some games. I want to re-establish myself among a minecraft community.

Over the past few months, I keep logging onto minecraft to search different servers to find a great one. So far nothing has hooked me. I've been playing minecraft since it's Alpha days in like 2010. I never have found another server like meepcraft in its prime. I know at this point this post is just a ramble of the old times, but I really want people to realize that Meepcraft will always have a place in my mind. I will always remember the old times and friends I made on this server. Please hit me up old pals! I always am down to reminisce on old times.

So today was my 5 year forum anniversary. Obviously I'm not very active right now, but I met a bunch of friends that I still have to this day on here, and I'll keep the memories I made here for the rest of my life.

Thanks for everyone who I've had the pleasure of interacting and talking with during my time here. Meep had really helped me through the dark times in my life and I'm glad to have been a part of this community.

I guess it’s finally time I write this silly thing. I guess I’ll start with why.

Why am I resigning? It’s not the server at all, nor it’s staff.


It’s just me. I’m growing up and growing out of Minecraft as a whole. I planned on making this in January when I turned 18, but I don’t see a reason to wait when I was only going to wait to throw a big drop party, but I lost the majority of my items.


I plan on spending even more times with my friends (which has been why I’ve been inactive recently), and I really need to focus on school and my future.


I’m the end, i don’t want to be committed to coming onto the server when I no longer enjoy the game, and have things I find more important to do.


I’ll be honest, this server has had me addicted for the last 5 years; and I need to stop. I can’t go for my whole life never knowing how to move on; so I’m going to try my best. Once admins remove my perms I will delete slack. I will leave the discord. I’ll change my forum password to some random letters and symbols then throw the paper away. And then I’ll delete Minecraft and every mod off my computer along with it. With hope, I’ll never be tempted to play; that would make it simpler for me.

@lfpnub You are a genius, and are just so much fun. Of this server, you have by far been one of my closest friends; and I don’t regret spending any time with you at all. @Deinen I’ll be honest, I looked up to you in my (even younger) youth, and after maturing I didn’t appreciate how you talked to others. Originally your witty comments picking fun at others were just entertaining, but eventually they just turned straight mean and harsh. I guess it’s whatever. I idolized you once, but that passed over the years. Good luck with your family and goals

@KaiUsesThis Wow I can almost remember the massive amounts of plans and thought that went into our pwarps/businesses. It’s absolutely crazy how we turned a simple shop into a grinder, drop party, and massive shop while still just enjoying the game! I miss playing with you, and I wish you the best!

@Acceleradiance You’re a genius, and so kind. You have amazed me on multiple occasions (copying pwarps block for block), and overall been the best partner ever. Beyond paying for pretty much all my plots, you would purposely avoid selling anything I was (without asking), and still helped me out whenever I needed it. You were seriously the most reliable friend I could’ve had on this server, and I wish I had something to give you; but I can only say thank you for being awesome. @meznik You are such a troll, but for some reason you never trolled me. Take it easy on the staff! They’re here for a good time too, no need to push some people’s buttons on purpose. You have a very strange sense of humor, and I enjoyed watching your conversations in global.

But seriously, I wish you would work out problems with klutch so you could’ve just played with your friends; but I guess it’s whatever. I hear you have my head. @CluelessKlutz I had hopes that you’d be able to help fix the server; but it requires more than one person with limited access to do that. However, you’ve been a great friend and person. Despite any disagreements (not often), you’re still one of the greatest players on this server.


@roxy I’ll be completely honest, I didn’t like you for the longest time. We would disagree at like every given opportunity, and I always thought you were overreacting to whatever I would say as if I was fighting. That being said, I had never had a voice chat with you. And I remember a voice chat when I was extremely stressed, losing hope for the server, and you brought me back and explained some of the situation. Your perseverance is insane, it’ll get you far in life. I wish you the best!


@riri Ha, we’ve sided with each other like wayyy too many times in staff chat. Honestly, you’re so much fun to be on discord with, just gotta realize how your reaction makes you look to other people. Hopefully you’ll be an smod one day soon!


@jamezmeep I’m sorry for calling you KyloKittens if it actually bugged you. But I really hope you get staff again, just try addressing issues instead of resigning! Discord with you riri and Kieran were hilarious, and you guys deserve the world

@kieran You’re honestly a gem. Thank you for actually having the courage to address things directly in the past. For a while there you were able to get stuff done, it was incredible. I hope alls going well with work and being able to see family in December, you’re easily one of the best staff; keep it up!


@KlutchDecals There are some things I’ll just never agree with you on, it’ll have to be like that. I feel like you’ve burned out, and that really sucks. You’ve been an amazing help to the server, and it’s staff team. I appreciate all the time you’ve given up for a block game, and thank you. Btw, take it easy on some grudges. @Fuzzlr thanks for keeping the server up even when times looked rough. You have a great team of people working; there is still hope and potential for this server even with Minecraft on a decline!

@LordInateur You’re interesting to talk to, sad we didn’t get to talk much. I hope real life is going well! I appreciate all you’ve done for the server and are still working on, it’s rare to find someone experienced that would be willing to help out (without pay), mad respect for you!

Alright... So...

This has been a long time coming, something I have been working on for a while (and still haven't finished 100%), but I feel like this project of mine is in a reasonable state to distribute to the public.

What I have for you today is a dynamic database utilizing PHP, MySQL and JSON (plus a sprinkle of HTML and CSS). I fear that the vast majority of you reading won't have a clue what I'm on about, so I'll break down the functionality of the project (so far):

• User selects a category
• A list of all of the Pwarps that fit in that category is presented

I intend to add other sorting mechanisms that target other criteria (such as Pwarp owner). If you have any ideas as to other methods of Pwarp categorization please let me know .

I am also working on a separate form that allows users to add Pwarps to the database. That is currently in development, but I am making good progress on it.

I don't know how many of you will use this, but this was just an idea that came across my mind when I was in the process of looking for places to sell stuff and was unsure of which Pwarps you could sell at.

I am aware the the database is not up to date. I started this project about a month ago and since then their have been drastic changes, as can be seen in SuperDyl's thread here.
The next time I update the database will be when my database submission form is complete and can be used without fault, so don't rely too heavily on the accuracy of the database at the moment.

Additionally, in future developments I intend to implement AJAX into the forms, so as to avoid SQL looping and page reloads. This will probably roll out about the time that I finish the Pwarp submission form.

Anyway, I'll stop blabbering now and let you see what I have so far. Enjoy!

I'm not really sure where to put this, but hey. It's Akira, and I plan coming back in the Summer if anyone cares-. Anyway, I'm working on a Youtube series, although I am the only animator so it is taking a while. That's why I am reaching out to you all to help. If you are interested in either voice acting, doing backgrounds, or after effects/making music, then I would love it! I have no budget so obviously I can't pay you or anything, but maybe you can use it as a thing for your college portfolio? Or just because you want to have some fun?

A little bit more:
I've been working single-handedly on this project for about a year and a half, and only recently have I started animating. The first episode is 30 minutes, which will take an entire summer to work on just the first episode, which is why I've been reaching out for help. As this project has come along, I have realized that it is impossible for me to work on this by myself, voices and concept art. For the past year and a half, I have been making a website, setting up social media, doing concept art, writing the background of each character, designing/coloring characters and writing the story. Now that I have every character, realizing how bad I am at voice acting requires some trustworthy people to help me with this. Thank you all if you sign up!

Story:
A young elf-human (halfbreed) boy, named Yoichi had been bullied all his life (Along with his father for being human), and to get back at those who did so, by destroying an entire kingdom with his powers of darkness and rot. During this period, known as the Period of Destruction, the Red Revolution in the human kingdom overthrew the dictator and the nobles with it, many people escaped from it. From the Revolution, a shy boy named Sanji meets a blind girl named Anwen, finding that the world is becoming a bit more tainted, but from who?

Characters Needed Voices: Once you are casted, of course these descriptions will be more filling.
Violet (Female)-
A demon who sticks by Yoichi's side, who feeds off of anger and sadness.

Lalika (Female)
A young female who lives as a noble during the Red Revolt. She is snotty and cocky, believing that people who are poor deserve to be poor.

Temptress (Female)
A beautiful demon who is the wife of the leader of a country. She is very strong, but also, as her name implies, very tempting.

Mrs. Lelin (Female)
A noodle shop owner, and Sanji's Boss. She speaks in a weird dialect and is from the human kingdom.

Yoichi and Sanji (Both Male)

seems like a lot of people don't want to read the thread and therefore can't find the post i made that explains everything. i will continue to add things as updates continue to occur. please correct me if im wrong about anything or new information changes any of this information.

• it is unclear what perks are staying
• no one knows when the server will be ready, don't ask
• they are putting their focus towards towny and not minigames at the moment
• there will only be one towns world, a new one
• this has nothing to do with the recent blacklisting
• klutch is going to be paying for backup plans out of his own pocket to ensure this never happens again (see klutch's post below for details)
• the server is not open to the public, that's why there are limited people online helping rebuild it
• bans will be lifted with the reset
• mcmmo/jobs, bug fixes, rule adjustments, less punishments, taking suggestions

 

I'm sorry I'm a spoiled brat. I'm sorry I'm childish for being a 19 year old. I'm sorry that I'm constantly expressing my negative opinions and negative remarks directed towards staff and players alike. I'm sorry that I can't control my attitude. I'm sorry I can't fix what's broken. I'm sorry that I've been nothing but a toxic snowflake.

I wish to be baptize and start anew. I wish to be apart of this community in a positive and in a mature fashion. I wish to help this community once more. I wish to be forgiven for my past actions, and reflected upon my future ones.

This is the first step to a long road of recovery. I only wish to be a better person on this server as a whole.
