Its a new year very soon, so I wanted to take a look back to see things in my life that impacted me most changing 2014 Dawson into 2016 Dawson. Unfortunately, and yet somewhat fortunately, Meepcraft gave me some some of my fondest memories. The fact that a Minecraft server can affect a 17 year old baffles me, and yet scares me because I hope that someone like me isn't put into office one day (although, I think I could do better than trump). If you're reading this and not already sucked into the world of video games nonstop, calm down while you can help yourself. Meepcraft is a very addicting place with many friendly people, but everything in moderation, right? You'll thank me later.

So just, take this as little-big thank you to some of you who made my early-middle 2015, in an odd, addicting video game world, a little bearable and gave me an amazing break from the stresses of the outside world.

i joined in august 2012 and it’s safe to say my life has gone downhill since i was 10 that day. i was hit with issues left and right and made the decision to switch to online school in jan 2019.

now i’m 18, barely finished school 2 months ago, hard to find a job because of this weird virus thing, idk if you guys have ever heard of it.

if you’re wondering why this is boring, it’s because nothing ever interesting happens in my life, but i’m just vibin at home rn.

I can see you didn't like the answer I gave you in game, so allow me to elaborate. There are a few things that you've said is wrong with the staff, but the main one I can see is that we spend less time helping people, and more time socializing in /shout. For this reason, I'm going to specifically address that complaint, without getting into anything else.

To begin, you didn't file a modreq, but you did spam /shout with your question. Fine. No use making a big deal of of it, was only 2 seconds worth and I understand people get frustrated when the need help. From that point, I tpa'd to you so I could try and help you with your problem. You weren't able to break a spawner in the nether attached to a chest shop. It didn't take long to explain to you why it wasn't breaking, and then told you that we were going to eventually be disabling chest shops in wild areas however there was no ETA. I then proceeded to tell you that next time, instead of spamming /shout, to make a modreq as it's a much easier way to get staffs attention. You filed a modreq anyways. Not a problem at all, maybe you misread what I said and thought to file one after I'd already helped you. I quickly claimed it and made a /done message for it, seeing as I had already helped you with your problem. I then asked you if there was anything else I could help you with and you said no.

The main reason as to why we ask people make modreqs rather than to ask in global, is that just because you don't know what a staff member is doing, doesn't mean we aren't busy. The use of the /modreq command is to help organize how things are done, so we can help the most people in the most efficient way possible. We can't always have 5 people asking us questions at once, and then be expected to keep track of everything. We share the workload as a team, and demanding everything of one person can get overwhelming.

Just because you don't see what the staff are doing, doesn't mean we aren't doing anything. A hell of a lot of the staff work is done behind the scenes, and not in game. It's impossible to judge a staff members contribution to the server without knowing what's going on behind the scenes. Overall, you had one bad experience, not due to the staff's lack of ability, but due to your lack of understanding towards the situation. I suggest next time that you take a step back and actually take a look at what happened from an outside perspective.

1. Get photoshop. Can't afford it?? Pirate it, there are tons of ways to get it for free.

2. YouTube how to use photoshop. Shouldn't take more than an hour to learn

@CaptainCluckers just because you are a "media" on meep doesn't mean you are a professional editor since YOUR videos take no SKILL, all you need is a screen recorder and a decent computer. Please stop trying to bait little kids to pay you for worthless art that can be made in 5 minutes. On the other hand @Bluapol can acctuly edit and make decent art and its acctuly worth it.

 

Tbh, I wasn't really sure I wanted to see munke as staff but recently I have seen some people as staff who no one knows. I asked who they are and I get a respond "doesn't matter about reputation, it's about if they can do the job" well guess what? They can't do their jobs either, I have seen so many people complains about certain staff members that I lost count.

Don't believe me? Heres some examples.
I was banned today for hacking WITHOUT proof, like wtf??? I asked the staff member and they said "my recording software is broken". A friend of mine went on a alt earlier today and also got banned without proof. He was banned because he was on an account no one knew of and the staff member got lazy and said yep, his hacking and probably won't appeal because no ones ever seen him so I don't need proof and boom he got banned.
Seeing previous staff members like @Jalapenos and @Muunkee - Alexia get denied for staff but people like Blendycat who no one even knew exist get accepted is very stupid.

I remember when there were high standards for becoming staff but now everyone can get staff.

In my opinion if staff keep making poor decisions like this then meep is going to lose even more players and just die in a couple months or years. Only good decision I have seen so far was promoting @Spyda6 to tech, he is amazing and very dedicated, please make better decisions on promoting certain people because staff members have access to very dangerous comands like getting a players ip etc.
