BackgroundThe supply drop is depicted as a treasure chest that regenerates in a random location at /warp wild in intervals of approximately thirty minutes. When a supply drop is not found within the set interval, it despawns and a new one is generated. Inside these chests is randomized loot that frequently consists of cactus, gems, and diamond armor. Players can occasionally compete for this chest by tracking it with the command /supplydrop.
ProblemI took a quick sample of three supply drops, and the loot is shown below:
Using average prices from various shops and vshop, each supply drop can reach up to a value of $500 each. To many people, this amount of profit is not much, and can easily be emulated by easier and more entertaining methods. Acknowledging the fact that the chest appears once every thirty minutes and navigating wild to search for it can be quite annoying, many people do not choose to use the supply drop as a source of supplies or income. For this reason, the supply drop has gotten less popular and often takes up chat by stating:
Changes/PropositionTo encourage players to compete for the supply drop and make the challenge worthwhile, the value of the loot found in the treasure chest should be drastically increased. This can either be done by increasing the frequency of each item possible to be found in a supply drop, or by adding new items that allow players to interact with the economy more. To prevent the items from losing value from being so common in these chests, the times at which the supply drop respawns should also be greatly increased, preferably to a series of set times throughout the day, once every day or even once every week. This will encourage players to go to wild and compete for this special chest, making the supply drop system more efficient and useful. Additionally, the interaction between players during competition may cause players to gather more supplies to engage in PvP, encouraging the circulation of more combat-related items that have also lost their popularity with terrarium.
It should also be noted that with the current fifty-block radius, the supply drop can be found quite easily, even with the anti-xray plugin that temporarily hides the chest from a distance. To make this feat more challenging, extra obstacles should be added, such as an increased radius, more frequent/enhanced mobs, etc. If possible or easy enough to do, the supply drop should also be able to spawn below the surface, giving a longer interval of time for players to engage with each other. Finally, to prevent the distribution of an unfair advantage to ranked players, the /dis plugin should be disabled in the region during the time the supply drop is active. Using these methods just as an example, I believe that the supply drop can be made more beneficial to the economy and the community.
SummaryThe value of the items found in the supply drop should be increased, with the time between each new generation decreased. This is to encourage combat-related and economic interaction between players. The supply drop should be depicted as a more special event where more players will compete to achieve.

- Thread: Meeptimes
Hey, so I was wondering why resignations and demotions wasn't mentioned in the Meeptimes since it's "kind of" important to know who is in and who is out.
I talked to CluelessKlutz about this, and he said that it had been suggested a lot of times but been turned down everytime. He said that it was because the meeptimes are supposed to be a positive thing.
it would make it easier for the players to keep up with whats happening on the staff team instead of having to go search around the forums to find the staff member that left recently.
and if u want it to be a happy thing just thank the people thhat resign
and u can say like"unfortunantely player24 was demoted but we hope to see them work on what was wrong and hope to see them reapply in the future if they have improved etc etc
so yea thats basically it, a small suggestion. thnx 4 readingfunkyrainbows, MoonlitMadness, cooey and 8 others like this. -
- Thread: A couple suggestions :)
1) Clear-lag warning: I understand that I have quite a bit of money and should not be concerned about a 5,000 meeble loss, but my worry lies with the new players that have no warning when breaking items that are expensive to them. I have lost several items due to no warning and I cannot imagine the new players that get excited over finally finding a diamond ore only to break it and lose it or lets say they spent 2 days grinding away to make the PERFECT god sword and want to show a friend, drop it.. Boom clear-lag and its gone.. I would so rage-quit! Can we please get the clear-lag warning back?
2) Stacker plug-in for spawn: I suggested this as a staff member a quite a while back, but I'm guessing it has become a dusty, forgotten item in the list of things on skype/slack.. Thought I would bring the idea back to current discussion. The plugin doesn't really serve a purpose but to let players interact a bit more. Gives everyone that extra something to maybe bond or just act silly. I don't really see a reason not to do it and I don't recall any negative comments towards the idea when I first requested that we reinstate it, so why not? I think it would be sorta fun to see everyone goofing off!Toostenheimer, CluelessKlutz, Richard FS and 8 others like this. -
- Thread: /seenlist
When my daughter logs on, the first thing she wants to do is check to see which of her friends are currently online. She types a handful of /seen commands for the same people each time. I'd love to see this process simplified, and I think a lot more people would appreciate having it, so I propose a new command.
/seenlist: Process a personal list of Meepcraft usernames, and return their /seen status.
Sample output:
Processing /seenlist:
User SmellyPants was online 3h, 41m ago
User ihasbadzbreath is online in Spawn
User wotthewat was online 14d, 6h, 22m ago.
Arguments:
/seenlist add: Add a username to the list
/seenlist remove: Remove a username from the list
/seenlist list: List the members of the list
/seenlist help: Self-explanatory
This could be related to donor perks by limiting the number of names in a list, and incrementing at each donor level, similar to /jobs, /dis, etc. My initial suggestion is to start at 3 for citizens, and each donor level gets +2.2leah2, Splasho, GroovyGrevous and 8 others like this. -
- Thread: A survival game
I think it would be really cool if we took out one of the broken/not used plugins and replace it with a survival map. The difference is that this survival map would not link up with MeepCraft economy, no meebles, no spawners, etc. This would be a truly survival gameplay, the wild west, living off the land, meeting others, trading. Defending your bases and hiding your things.
I remember I joined MeepCraft originally because I was looking for a thing like single player, but with a ton of players. I think it would be cool to play in basically a dog eat dog world.
Another idea I'd potentially like is if we made donor less of an impact on this server, perhaps give donors just a kit with a couple extra tools & food, or something. As an Ultimate I'm ok with giving up the perks in this world, to enhance gameplay.Toostenheimer, cooey, Dockson and 8 others like this. -
I do suggestions every Friday. In that time If I see something that just wont be done, I deny it. If I see something that is just awesome, I accept it. If I want to see more of the communities input, Ill leave it.
I would move this now but Ill leave it for a week. <3Toostenheimer, Cherrykit, lordusan and 7 others like this. -

Here we observe the Squire in its natural habitat. It loves the cold slippery lands where maneuverability is rendered obsolete and uses its Fire Aspect to prevent any and all escape due to fire damage. - Thread: Create More Trophies
- a trophy for number of followers (nothing to excessive, 100 might be reasonable?)
- one for your birthday as well? wouldn't be too many points though, like 5?
- A trophy for a certain number of suggestions you've suggested that get accepted maybe (the title could be something like 'can't stop suggesting' idk something I'm not creative)
-Same thing but for reporting bugs, could be called 'bug squasher'
- maybe one for 15k likes
But yeah +1 for adding the other yearly trophies

I think it would be a great idea to elevate the spawn and have a drop down into the extreme wild where PvP is enabled. Currently, you run out about 50 blocks or so and then PvP becomes enabled with no warning. I suggest creating a drop down from the spawn into the PvP area. This will not only make it more obvious to players where PvP begins, but it will also prevent players from backing out of fights by simply running back into the non-PvP spawn zone. I experienced this tonight, first hand, as I watched an interaction between Iatemyfriends and Boombox where Boombox would step into the PvP enabled area, hit Iatemyfriends, and then step back to safety before Iatemyfriends could react. I feel like this will contribute to the "extreme" theme nicely, as it will inadvertently encourage more PvP interaction by discouraging this non-committal behavior.
Eventually, this could even be extended further by providing somewhat a "buffer zone" of super-flat land between the spawn and where building is allowed (say 100 blocks?). This would create an area where PvP could occur on a flat landscape without terrain getting in the way, and would also prevent cobble monsters from being created immediately after the exit of spawn, providing a cleaner look.
There is also another issue alongside this that involves players in god armor camping the spawn and waiting for new players to exit. While this is definitely "extreme", it surely does not encourage a new player to continue playing. I suggest that, for a new player, a temporary PvP protection is implemented. When they enter the extreme wild , a timer (say 30 minutes?) will begin its count down. This will allow said player to venture into the wild safely without being camped.
I have attached an image below to represent the "drop down" that I am suggesting for the spawn. These are both common approaches that I have seen executed on other servers which I feel would greatly benefit Extreme! Please let me know if you would like clarification or if you have any questions!
Side Note: Were these suggestions to be implemented, players would need to be restricted from ender-pearling back into spawn when combat tagged!Last edited: Apr 13, 2020fasehed, bloodyghost, GingerManOWNS and 7 others like this. -
- Thread: Bring back fun
The game is becoming based around grinding jobs, as the sole reason to make money.
I have multiple suggestions; but seeing as I can only suggest one: Here we shall begin.
Suggestion:
Sunday Special: Once a week, every Sunday, one event or mini game will be featured. The “featured” mini game will have its reward be raised anywhere between 4 to 10 times greater (10 times being for like boomo, 4 being for like halo, which already has the a high payout).
@CluelessKlutz this would require Admin and Console Access, so this would only be possible if you are able to change mini game payouts

This would also make for two good events every week for the Meeptimes.SuperDyl, evilalec555, Erebus45 and 7 others like this. -
Rules (Especially chat and towny) aren't very clear, this leaves it up to staff what is "breaking the rule." Here are some examples...
Example 1 (Towny Rules): I was banned for trespassing in a District (unowned plots too) in Legend (I was not warned or had no awareness of the ban). At the time of the ban, I was a co-mayor in the town and the player who banned me was only an assistant.
A couple of months later staff tells me that co-mayors cannot be banned from any plots in their town. (I agree with this as Co-mayors technically have the same perms as Mayors according to Meep rules)
Example 2 & 3 & 4 (Chat rules): Just today @cooey was saying the n-word in Nation Chat, he was kicked by @CaliWahine . However, when I asked @NinjaRoxy about this she said something along the lines of "Well you're in the wrong nation than" suggesting that what cooey did was legal.
However last night @qazini kicked me for saying the f-word in town chat claiming that it is not a private chat (I made sure that everyone online wouldn't mind). If anything /nc is more public than /tc.
Additionally, @Viperfan was muted last night for saying "Niggght" after being asked to say the n-word. I don't understand why someone was more harshly punished for simply saying "Niggght" than someone who said the n-word multiple times. Honestly, He shouldn't have been muted
Personally, I see both qaz's, Roxy's, and Cali's interpretations as reasonable regarding the situation with cooey. However, all interpretations cannot be considered true.
Additionally, the staff team seems pretty disconnected right now, a couple of other Meepers who I talked to also agree.
Although I am criticizing staff's decisions I mean to do this in a respectful way...iKitten, CluelessKlutz, Marshy_88 and 7 others like this. -
- Thread: Media Applications
In the media application there's two boxes asking for a link to Meepcraft-related videos made by the applicant to prove their skills (pictured below)
Not sure if this is intentional and meant to weed out applicants that don't have a YouTube channel, but it definitely seems to exclude them. Having media staff that can use photo editing software and are good with social media is just as important, if not more so, than people who just make YouTube vids. Maybe make the videos an optional part of the application and allow some other relevant stuff as proof of your skill?SuperDyl, iPolarFlame, cooey and 7 others like this. -
We have had a lot of ideas recently regarding town staff and the town tax. I have reviewed the suggestions and am going to list here the suggested update to the staff and town tax procedure.
Current system in Towns:
Mayor (Not Taxed)
Co-Mayor (Not Taxed)
Assistant (Not Taxed) Currently can assign VIP to town members
VIP (Not Taxed)
Builder (Not Taxed)
Recruiter (Not Taxed)
Proposed:
Mayor (Taxed)
Co-Mayor (Taxed)
Assistant (Taxed)
Builder (Taxed)
Recruiter (Taxed)
VIP rank name changed to "TaxExempt" (NOT TAXED)
Doing this will allow towns to add the TaxExempt rank to any town member, staff member, etc.
Also currently asssitants can give VIP to town members, this would change to Mayor or Co-Mayor only.
Lets us know by using the Poll and giving feedback below.
Also if we do this I think we would need to keep the tax free status on surrent town staff for a set amount of time so that towns have time to give VIP(TaxExempt) rank to town staff members etc.

- Thread: Enabling Taxes for town staff
Pretty straightforward suggestion, I know in most towns the staff are already putting money in the bank, I'd rather it just be automatic. Just want the option to toggle taxes/autodonations (1k per day from all staff for example). Very helpful to smaller towns like Aincrad or Bastion (since most/all of the players in that size town are staff) and larger towns alike!

- Thread: GUI For Towny
My apologies if this has already been suggested before... I did a quick search through old threads and the Trello and I hadn't seen anything.
So, there are obviously a lot of commands for Towny. Sometimes it's hard to decipher which commands to use for newer players, and it can be seen as cumbersome to keep a browser window open to search through all the commands for Towny (although we do have some good command references here and here). So, I think that a GUI for Towny much like what we have for /help or /friend would be extremely beneficial. The level of effort would be rather high for Techs, but after super important Meep issues have been corrected I believe that this would be a wonderful addition, especially if we are still holding true to the old idea that MeepCraft is "mostly a Towny server."
