I want a way for my money to make money because I'm a lazy capitalist. Also I'm tired of losing money to the real-life stock market and this was a fun addition back in the day

Bring back the system again but implement a 1 day hold limit (on the entity, not the player) to prevent manipulation again.

Yeah, day trading in essence is gambling anyway unless you have some insider information or you know, for instance, that the stock market conveniently lags like it did last time. I know some brokers limit day trading to like 3 in total or something similar, but definitely limit it in some capacity. And of course, this goes without saying, but don't make the stocks physical copies either. Everything should be virtual

I'm not opposed to this if we institute the previously-mentioned addenda:

24-hour hold time. You buy or sell a stock, it can't be canceled, and it goes into effect the following day. The prices of the stocks would still be realtime-ish.
Virtual only, interacting directly w/ the meeble.

The other thing that I'd want to see is a broker fee. And, of course, a ban on insider trading ;)

Feel free to toss your suggestions in for plugins and/or APIs. I think I have an AlphaVantage API subscription floating around somewhere but I'd rather use a free API if we end up doing this thing and have to build it custom.
