Block/item that can stops vine and bamboo growing

Can we give permission for players to place and remove barrier block? So we can discard the string (it looks pretty ugly when you get closer to look at) to stop vines and bamboos growing.

Or make something like /ast so we can hide the strings we have placed.

Or any block and a command to make it invisible...

The reason I make this suggestion is that lots of new builds have bamboos included, and if a bamboo grows too high, then it will ruin the whole building.

3-5 blocks high bamboos without strings on the top look really nice, not gonna lie.

Better yet, make there be a way to 'freeze' plants from growing at any stage so you can use crops, including the grassy looking half-grown ones, as props and decoration.

/AST likley will return at some point down the line. Players may be able to buy barriers from the admin shop but odds are they won't be cheap. Unfortunately the amount of time required to develop a plugin for this outweighs the gain, and for that reason we will be denying this suggestion.
