If I understand this correctly, you meant money = skulls? If so,

- The server will further lose the non existent incentive for players to donate.
- Adding perks to a "hardcore" game mode.

The ranks could have different perks for each world. Say, if you buy a rank with meebles in Classic you could get an additional set home, currency, etc.But forextreme, they should be changed to match the "hardcore" aspect of the world. For example the perks could help give you plot bonuses, currency, and other perks that wouldn't help make the gamemode "easier".
I don't think we would lose the incentive for players to donate if we just make sure not to put particle effects, /hat, /nv, /dis, color codes on signs, purple/orange chat color as an available perk from the ingame ranks system. We could also add other things that players would be willing to donate for: /nick.
