Is there an inherent advantage for the server to force all individuals out of the town? Some of the best architectural works that the server has ever seen were likely a result of people who only stayed in their town. Also, see my other thread; it's tedious to leave your town as often as required the server requires. The server needs to stop alienating players for the sake of le difficult XD when the server is annoying to play on and not difficult and never will be.

I read your other thread and I can agree on some things just being tedious; but why would this not apply to jobs as well?
Having to grind a job daily to just scrape by supporting your town (since we don’t want jobs to make people rich) but never being able to get far ahead is just as much grinding as having to walk to dungeons. And I agree, the server will never be “difficult” because the core aspects of the game do not support a skill based challenge aside from pvp.
it’s because pvp is the only mechanic and objective in Minecraft that requires any skill that I like adapting the “leave your town and risk stuff” mindset.
This mindset benefits the server because it allows for a game mode different from towny that promotes a different style of play. I feel like there are things that could make the game more challenging without just demanding everyone walk 18,000 blocks to do an easy task.
