You can't set your spawn via bed, it's been made that way for when you die you either get teleported to your /t spawn if you're in a town or you get spawned at /warp extreme, it's made that way to avoid players without a town able to go back to their base while not having to spend the 50k town checkpoint (checkpoint meaning the town costs technically nothing as you get the money back in your town bank)
