You’re not quitting.
The addiction is there. You can try to quit, but you never can. Every time you leave, you will check forums occasionally and rejoin when something new happens. Just like everyone else that still plays, something holds you here. Maybe it’s at home problems, maybe it’s lack of a social life; maybe you just genuinely like the small community.
You may not want to play, but the second you remove the addiction it will just gnaw at you. Unless you replace this addiction with something else; you will be back. And likely sooner rather than later.
