Meep Reforms Part 5

Finally as part of the reform, we would need to look towards changing the image of Meepcraft and aiming away from the stigma that comes with the word “Meepcraft” for ex-players. The first step into doing this successfully, I would suggest, is to change the name of the server. We have had a long discussions about suggesting this but in our eyes we believe this is the only viable option. The Meepcraft website is nice and all but the theme isn't practical anymore. I would suggest going to a clean cut modern website that is nice since that's what players want now. We would also need to change the logo to fit our new theme. Since the logo is outdated by several years and needs to be flashy to draw attention on voting websites. I would propose using this theme Sodium - XenForo 2 Style as it is very ultra modern which will draw in players. For Meep’s GIF logo for voting banners we would use Laser Lights this is a very prominent site to buy graphics from so we trust it will look amazing. This would need to be done at the very last stage of the reform otherwise players will be attracted to a half developed server and leave. These links are just suggestions but we both believe a modern theme is needed.

In terms of ranks, we believe they should stay the same at the moment as you guys paid for them with your hard earned money and we do not feel like we should take that away. In addition, the rank system that is currently in place works from our perspective

B) Why would anyone want a moden website? Is Minecraft modern? No. its medieval.
C) In order to fix a "bad stigma" you fix it, you don't create something totally new when it comes to things like this.

What do you even mean by that? The way you worded that doesn't really make sense. Stigma: a mark of disgrace associated with a particular circumstance, quality, or person. Broski, disgrace is associated? I want a bit of clarification on that part.

How many times do you need to say modern. This isn't some futuristic game, it isn't modern. Meepcraft was not made in 2019. Things change, but honestly there don't need to be all of these "new" "modern" things added into the server.

No. I don't agree with this at all. Good luck, but it's not really what is needed.

There are many things that the staff of Meepcraft have to fix up already, there is NO point at all to change all of this up. It would be a waste of time and energy. How about we fix what needs to be fixed first? They also are working on fixing bugs, and adding games. Which the community has brought up many times, and they're working on it as you can see by the beta kit pvp running right now.

Unfortunately, nuker listened.Anywho, the name meepcraft doesnt mean anything in regards to image. In fact it might separate old server from new server so much that players from the no longer existing meepcraft will not even look at notmeepcraft 2.0. In fact I think that, should an older player look at notmeepcraft 2.0 and realize the name has changed but the server hasnt, it would be literally laughable.

Theres no reason to change the name. Literally its never been on anyones mind. It even has a story (although not a super interesting one) behind it.

Ask yourself why the change is necessary before you post a suggestion about itAlso quite honestly I love the simplicity of the forums. The only thing that I agree with here is an upgrade (not a change, but maybe a recreation) of the logo so its a little more in line with current graphic design. The theme, the colors, the setup, the backgrounds, theyre all fine.

I think that all your ideas come from a place of good intentions, but, for all the reasons listed in the comments throughout these five threads, they are not needed or they’re already being done.

After careful consideration m we have decided to change the name of the entire server. The new server is called Meepcraft 2, thank you.

In all seriousness, we’re not changing the name, we’re not using the suggested forums theme (extra $35 a year when the current one is fine), and designs are fine as well.
