Now, do not move this thread to debates, cause it really isn't a debate, it's more so of me asking for your opinion.
Arianna Grande made a new song called "God is a woman", and people are offended.
This thread is not a debate because it repeats multiple times in the Bible that God wants to be referred to as "He", and that God created males in his image. Females were essentially created as slaves to males. Hard to take in like the other horrible shit that's in the bible but the truth. There's no debate there.
here's my opinion on this song:
I really liked the ethereal vibe to the music video, I really liked the sound she used, but everything but the message she put off just urked me. you can't say she was using it metaphorically, because in the music video she replaced images where God was displayed for depictions of herself. I wasn't really offended as much as I should've been (because I am Baptist), but I'm usually the person to look at both sides of the argument so alot of things don't bother me, that's expected. I do admire that she used depictions of female Goddess (like Gaia at 2:03) and all the other homages I'm forgetting in the video but I really do see where saying "God is a woman" could be offensive.
