We apologize for not being more transparent regarding the ban, and allowing assumptions to be made regarding the reasons for him being unbanned.
It was our fault that we previously articulated to Hornemans that it was OK to engage in the activity that caused him to be banned. We did ultimately ban him for the same activity later on, seeing as it was contrary to our interpretation of the rules. However, we reviewed our previous correspondences with Hornemans that showed we had previously greenlighted this behavior. Therefore it was necessary to re-review the ban. We have informed Hornemans our new stance on the issue and interpretation of the rule so that he does not violate it again, and additionally clarified this in the Server Rules to be more clear in future situations.
I will be extending the ban to a temporary ban to provide assurance that the proper discipline was applied. In the meantime, we are having internal discussions about whether we will be taxing or eliminating his account balance.

this unban is very simple. there was reasonable doubt that he was alt abusing. "someone" sold him vote keys for 2,000. As obvious as it may be to everyone here that it's him, there is still reasonable doubt. hence, he's unbanned. the only way you're finding him guilty is if he admits to it.

You talking about me or the server?Your deduction in the rules are correct, however, you clearly have not been reading... hornemans did not keep the money on his "main" buying a voting key from another player who may or may not have been an alt is 100% legit. So /pay'ing Hornemans from and ALT is illegal (which hornemans did NOT do) Hornemans got a key, third parties got moneis in exchange for the said key. Hope this clears up your misunderstanding.

If he got unbanned without appealing, either he didn’t do anything wrong (which I doubted) or he paid his way out of the ban. Would you like to paint anymore possibilities as to how he could of gotten unbanned without appealing?

This has been resolved by what Fuzzlr has explained (which I think other staff members were hesitant to talk about for fear of leaking accusations), so stop antagonizing each other.

The rule was made in response to the fact it apparently wasn’t clear enough (although he was banned before he ruled were changed...). It was a clarification upon what players have previously been told.

Transferring money between accounts in any form is completely illegal. It’s in the rules now. Black and white, no exceptions. You cannot even treat a player shop as if they were separate accounts, because pricing may be bogus.
