Windows or Apple?

Hey all,

I was interested to know which OS is better if you want to pursue a career in software engineering? Personally, I've been using my apple laptop I bought for school (had to) and it's been fine but I've also heard Windows is better. So what's the deal?

Linux is a good OS to use if you want to get into software work and over time it becomes more important to familiarize yourself with the way it works. Learning the basics of Linux will help further your knowledge of software and hardware. Other than that it doesn't matter too much what OS you use personally because a lot of programming and related things are not OS dependent unless you are developing for Apple devices because that requires a Mac.

Voted for Windows cause thats the only OS I've used Im so bad

I believe you mean Microsoft or Apple.

Windows is Microsoft's OS line and Apple is just the company.
