Hello Meep, this thread is about the proposed creation of MEPA (Meep Environmental Protection Agency). Yesterday, there was a lot of entities cleared by ClearLag; once there were 1,440 entities cleared, and then eventually 1,687 entities. So, I think it is time that Meep combats pollution with the help of MEPA. Basically, meep staff would be given access to a special log that allows them to monitor the level of entities that haven't been picked up by ClearLag yet. Plus, there would be helpful advertisements so that we will have lower levels of entities in the future.

not a bad idea to root out those who intentionly try to lag the server but it would be useless overall

Knowing how many entities are alive wouldn’t really help staff decrease lag. Even if it would, I’m sure tech/admins have access to this information already, and lower staff knowing the amount of entities wouldn’t matter. Plugins and large complicated farms/red stone structures are causing the majority of lag. These issues are being worked on.

Most of the time ClearLag doesn't clear stuff, and when it does, it doesn't clear that much entities.

There are a few items that Clearlag ignores (dragon eggs and shulker boxes come to mind), and those items follow the Vanilla despawn rate of 5 minutes. Otherwise Clearlag removes every dropped item every time it cycles.
