So basically a way to reduce the economy by x percent or flat rate fairly. I envision two possibilities in a 'lottery' type format.
Since the amount, I envision being removed is like 8-20 million per lottery the prize would be "one of a kind" and useful (means wanted) similar to the "nutcrackers" and such.
Possible prizes (or something like these), remember these will be 1 of a kind when made:
Stick "Magic Wind", Sharp: 5, Knockback: 5
Blazerod "Magic Fire", Sharp: 1, FireAspect: 5
Wooden Hoe "Green Thumb", Fort: 5, Unb: 100
Diamond Pick, Eff: 5, Silk: 1, Unb: 100
Diamond Pick, Eff: 5, Fort: 3, Unb: 100
Diamond Pick, Eff: 10, Unb: 100
OPTION #1 - Take x percent form all active players in the past x days (unannounced).
PRO's - distributes the money loss more evenly amongst a larger group.
CON's - not everyone pays the same for a 'lottery' ticket, some will pay way more.
NEUT - would be like a true rag's to riches for all players to be involved, not just the rich ones.
OPTION #2 - Take x flat rate from top 8 players on baltop at the time of eco reduction (unannounced).
PRO's - has a greater chance of winning the prize and everyone paid equally.
CON's - a very large amount is paid per 'lottery' ticket say like 1,000,000 - 2,000,000 from each.
NEUT - give another incentive/disincentive to be on baltop, as people will either invest in gold to hide money from /baltop or people will want to be in the top 8 of it to be entered into the super lotto.
NOTE: No one is Forced, they are "atomically selected" as a "reward" to be in the lottery to win the AWESOME prize! If you don't' want to be in the top 8 then don't have so much money on /baltop (that is self-controlled).
OPTION #3 - I guess we can make it a normal true lottery system, and instead of just winning meebles like change it to one of the prizes and remove all the meebles.
PRO's - Everyone can participate if and when they like.
CON's - Might take "forever" to actually reduce the economy balance if no one buys tickets.
NEUT - System already exists we can just modify the Meep Lotto to do a drawing once all tickets are sold (500-1000 tickets at 10,000 each) perhaps.
My Example Combination of Option #3 and #1:
So, personally, I would choose a hybrid option then.
Lotto: 2,000 tickets
Cost: 10,000 per ticket
Prize: Diamond Pick, Eff: 5, Fort: 3, Unb: 100
Tickets Sold: 543 = 5,430,000
Tickets Remaining Unsold: 1457 = 14,570,000
Current Eco at the time of drawing (using right now) = 230,000,000
Deduction of automatic tickets to enroll is: 14.57/230 = 6% reduction
The 30 days has expired on the 30th day, everyone not ban AND active in the past 30 days AND with a balance of 100,000 meeble or greater will have a 6% reduction taken from their balance (which will give them x tickets towards that lottery).
Player #1 banance = 100,000 (* 6%) = 6,000 (does not qualify for deduction) = No Tickets
Player #2 banance = 400,000 (* 6%) = 24,000 (20,000 deduction) = 2 Tickets
player #3 banance = 1,300,000 (* 6%) = 78,000 (70,000 deduction) = 7 Tickets
Player #3 banance = 3,750,000 (* 6%) = 225,000 (220,000 deduction) = 22 Tickets
Player #5 banance = 8,800,000 (* 6%) = 528,000 (520,000 deduction) = 52 Tickets
TO AVOID automatically buying lots of tickets if you don't want them, you can easily store all your money in GOLD BLOCKS.
