As for the idea from discord, you are given the full responsibility of a tech in order to see how you act with the role and how people react to you. If you don't have the perms, or even tag in game, then they won't get the full picture and will not be able to fully evaluate you in the role.

if techs are put on a probationary period and given the visuals without perms people will ask that person to do things they cant. so what is the point anyways. if you really want people to be able to judge you give them a tag like Jr.tech not the actual tag that is there to show their rank and abilities.

Techs aren’t supposed to be asked anything related to them doing something involving their permissions. They are not moderation staff, and report only to high staff.

Well, I guess this wasn't a good time to apply, and my Achrow comment didn't help anything. So, I have one of 3 options it seems like.
1: Stop talking in global.
2: Mute, at least for a while.
3: I just delete this application and forget this ever happened.
From what people are saying, the drama with Achrow and I combined with the comment I previously made in the application were the nail in the coffin for me.

Or, you could just take what people say from the application and strive to get better. Deleting the application shows that you have little to no confidence in the work that you put out and you care too much about what people think. Don’t pull out, show confidence in the final goal.

What did you work on while being a tech for a short period of time? What we need are techs to fix the numerous broken things on Meep before more people leave due to boredom, if your maturity is spmethinh uncontrollable I wouldn't be opposed to a permanant mute so you can work and not make the same mistake.

So the solution to immaturity is a gag? Honestly, someone with this level of immaturity shouldn't be trusted with any secure information.

Someone with this level of responsibility definitely needs to be held to a higher standard than a typical moderator.

If Meep is dying for more techs, move some techs to higher priority tasks and leave this fella (if you decide to accept him) to more trivial and minor tasks. See what he's capable of and what his potential lies, or he might mess up and you can cut ties.

Ok, so it seems like this application has turned into people saying that I am immature, and you're not wrong. The main thing though is the reason I act immature; I am always on full damage control mode unless things are going well. That's why I "solved immaturity with a gag", because I think in the moment "Hey, if people laugh, they will forget about this immature thing that I did", but that seems to only work with the poeple I am used to dealing with, people my age with my maturity level.

I am running out of ways to justify my prior and current immaturity, so unless I am asked a question that I can realistically answer, I am going to stop responding as much.

Another thing I do if faced with a lot of criticism is self deprecation, which is also kind of what I am doing at the moment, but I don't know how else to respond. I would like to say, though, that what I might lack in overall maturity, I make up for with actually completing the task I am given and being able to do so.

This kind of post may either help or hurt my chances with this, since it can be seen at 2 different angles. If anyone else has any questions or comments, please post them, and I'll try to respond as best I can.

But in all seriousness you're a great guy and I don't know the whole story, but when I talked to you about the achrow thing you said you weren't really concerned about it, and it seemed like you were handling it maturely.

Hi, It is a -1 from me and here is a few reasons:

You didnt address your demotion in your application, i do think this could have been a wise choice considering how there is still tension around it, perhaps if you put in a small apology, explained how you would move on from this, how you have bettered yourself, how in future if in a similar situation how you would handle it differently, etc. That it would have possibly cleared some things up.

Additionally you do not seem to take things seriously, being a member of the staff team is dedication, its loyalty and you must be able to be serious about the work you do as you are going to help shape the server for the future

Also, with the situation you were in if you are unable to understand, yes you were a tech but that doesn't mean joining in, and not following the server rules is okay. When you are brought onto the staff team you have been trusted to keep the people on the server safe, make them feel safe and make their experience enjoyable.

If you are unable to see what's appropriate and what is not, i dont think it would be a wise decision right now to bring you onto the staff team.

So, here's the thing: I don't think that this is the right time for us to ask you to rejoin the staff team. You have potential in regard to your capabilities as a tech, but I really do take probationary periods seriously. I do, at some point in the distant future, want to see you apply again but I would recommend against a new application in the next few months. Give it a bit.

Now, aspiring techs do have the opportunity to be a part of the MeepDev Community Project. This is not a staff rank (there are no ranks associated with this), but it allows us to see more of your potential in the future. Let me know on Discord if you're interested in this. But, at this point in time, I cannot accept this application.
