How did players get the spawners in the first place?
The spawners were 200k skybucks, which as it was before, was an astronomical price. The people who did buy one or several spawners had to work their butt off completing every possible challenge, and selling all their things to get it. And it would be reset only because new players, who usually are lazy and do not complete challenges because usually rich people who do have spawners (I gave out 1.7 mil skybucks in the past 4 months) give them money to help them out?
The spawners are the fruit of hard work and effort, people who weren’t ready for the labor didn’t get them. A spawner wasn’t one day of work, we’re talking weeks.
It’s like if you’ve created a town, really big like Legend because you started before everyone else, and once you’ve reached your apogee, someone tells you it will be reset because a segregation is being made, the bigger town get richer and richer because all new player join them and it attracts many players, and the little towns get poorer and poorer because no one joins them. Of course, the new towns will love it, because they’ll have a shot, but they put in much less effort than the big ones have.
The only solution I see would be to add back spawners, but not iron golems, just mob spawners, from which you could sell loot for a smaller price.

In what town, do some elite towns have access to items that break the whole economy, and any player that didn’t get the item in time will be disadvantaged forever?
In the case of skyblock, if you didn’t get a spawner during the week they were being sold, you can NEVER surpass anyone remotely active with iron golem spawners. Riri, you look at the fact you won’t have this massive, unfair advantage over other players because you worked hard for a week. Imagine working for the next few years, and not being able to surpass you because of the impossibility of acquiring iron golem spawners like some of the top islands have. The issue is not players owning the spawners, the issue is the bull crap method that this update was implemented with. I mean no personal offense to those involved in implementing these changes, but skyblock at this point is ruined for anyone without iron golem spawners.
I’m a huge +1 for the suggestion, kling and I already talked about this in game quite a bit; and he put it in the best way possible: We can either reset at this point, or further the damage and allow spawners to be sold again. But we CANNOT continue to allow this absurd gap between who can win skyblock, and who cannot.
Nobody has addressed it, but for discussion purposes; could a starting bonus for those in the is top and those that owned iron golem spawners, be awarded so that players that put effort into getting spawners can have some kind of payment for their aggravation at a reset?
-1 This would hurt the players that play sky block, just how the reset of EULA murdered the server

What players are playing skyblock? I haven’t seen many players in the world in the last two weeks, and our player count has been at a high.
My island is the top island and it came from a lot of hard work, not afking. Yes there is prob a few that do. The spawners were in the shop for much longer than a few days, and were then shifted to the crates.
How come islands like Scheck__ or mine got passed up in less than a week of this update, when both of those islands have been worked on for months (I would know, I helped). This update for the spawners allowed for people to get iron golem spawners, farm the crap out of them for a week while still getting more, then spamming iron blocks for levels. Not only spawners, we added fly boots so that people don’t have to worry about falling off their island, there is no challenge.
The spawners were in the shop for much longer than a few days, and were then shifted to the crates. Yes, if you are lucky you can get a spawner for just logging in a getting a key.
So, we allow spawners to be in the shop for a few days. People work hard to earn one, then grind it out until they get two, and so on until they have the amount of spawners they desire. How is a player supposed to catch up to someone with 4+ iron golem spawners, when the chance of earning a spawner in a crate is astronomically low, and the chances of getting an iron golem spawner is even lower than that. Having the chance to win a spawner, is not going to justify how the server stopped selling spawners after so many people already are taking advantage of them, and the economy was remade around them.
Those that bought them worked long and hard to raise the money for them.
My island has 8 or 9 full layers with things on it, that was not done by spawners, that was done by a lot of hours work.
As I said already in one of these replies, earning a second iron golem spawner was a matter of grinding out the first iron golem spawner. If we’re going to side with people who worked hard, then why would The is top drastically change in one week, when it hadn’t drastically changed in the last year skyblock has been here, ever. People worked hard for a short period of time, and got a reward. That is perfectly okay. If I worked ten times as hard, for ten times as long as the people did to buy their iron golem spawners, where would I be? I wouldn’t have one iron golem spawner, because the odds are completely against anybody getting them.
Anyone that worked hard enough when the spawners were in the shop could've bought them.
And what about the players that just joined, or couldn’t play when the spawners were in shop? This suggests that new players missed the opportunity, so now they can’t reap any rewards? This update disadvantages anyone without iron golem spawners, and adding them for a short period of time then removing the sale of them, is why this is an issue.
The exact same way as it is to save up for the cobble gen extras, yet noone is complaining about that.
Want to know why no one complains about the cobble gen extras? Because everybody can get them. I argue against the unfair bits, and everyone has equal opportunity to get a cobble gen, so there is the reasoning.
The solution is not resetting skyblock, as the people that have them have worked extremely hard for them.
What is the solution? I offered up mine in a different suggestion that you haven’t addressed (that I’ve seen yet, sorry if you have already replied).
I know the main one complaining about these even sold some of his to buy a rank.
Feel free to @ me next time. I sold my iron golem spawners for a towny tank. I helped the server, and I knew I wouldn’t enjoy how the changes to skyblock were made.
If they were added back in the shop for a high price, would then there be complaints as to the richer people could buy more?
Feel free to read my suggestion, this is sort of addressed. But I still believe at this point that a reset would be the best option.
All the spawners that were available in the shop are now in the crate that you have a chance to win for logging in.
Again, the odds are so terrible that no one can catch up.
As goes in any world, changes are made. We have added in more things that can be sold to the shop.
Nothing can compare to the economic dominance gained by iron golem spawners. To be able to make the amount of profit iron ingots give, while only needing to afk, leaves no other route that could be even close to as prosperous as the iron golem spawners.
We have had a lot of players join Meep just because they heard about the skyblock and have loved it.
You’re right, skyblock is fun, for all players. But the implementation of this update was completely wrong. When we discussed an op skyblock while I was staff, I suggested it be a second world. That wasn’t just because the normal skyblock is fun. Transitioning into a new style of play is hard, and we see how the transition was too much, because atm skyblock just isn’t quite right.
Skyblock is supposed to be a challenge, it's totally different to towny. And yes we added a few fun and exclusive items in.
Explain the challenge of skyblock to me? Half the challenge before his update was managing to not fall off your island, and fly boots removed that. Another challenge was gaining minerals such as iron or gold from mobs. But spawners removed that. Another challenge was making money, but the current challenge system ruined that.
Op skyblock is not challenging. It is meant to be a grinding sort of game. Pick whether you want this skyblock to be hardcore, or overpowered, and stick to that decision. You need to pick a mindset for the world, because this is not challenging in the faintest.
Like the crazy enchant books, which most players liked as it was something different.
the custom enchants were a brilliant addition, good work.
I apologize because I know everyone will likely mistake my passion about skyblock as inflammatory towards Roxy. I mean you no offense, this is my opinion, please don’t take it as a spark to a flame war.
