Backslashes clone themselves

Bug: Backslashes double themselves
Date of Bug: As long as I can remember
Summary of Bug: When typing a backslash ("\") the backslash will become two backslashes. \ becomes \\. Not a huge problem but figured it should be known about at the very least

it's a bit irritating to see everyone's favourite ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ dude be a ¯\\_(ツ)_/¯
also shouldn't be hard to fix

bloody you just have a heavy key tap, it doesn't do it for me and it never has.either that or I have been genetically encoded to hit the backspace key

type of keyboard you use guys? I use a Razer Ornata Chroma and have this problem

really? i have a dell laptop keyboard and this has never happened to me, everlook here and see if it has ever been reported for servers 1.8 up
