A computer, please help a noob.

Similar to Nemoir’s post, I’m looking for a cunputer.
Perhaps a laptop, hopefully with a good processor and graphic card. Budget is 1600-1800USD.
Any suggestions?

With that much money, you should be able to crush games. What are you looking to play and at what settings? What size, screen resolution, etc? Do you want a disk drive, etc?

Disk drive would be good. An Nvidia card would be ideal, and screen size, huh, 20x35cm? I already have another monitor anyways, I just need a good computer. Dream would be to play at QHD.

If you have a budget like that, you ought to buy a computer specifically created to run games at HD. Probably something to do with Nvidia, or just get a Windows 7 laptop and play earlier versions of Minecraft with it. Or spend it on college and personal things.

Righto champ, first off, laptop best bet would be Asus' ROG GL502 found here: Amazon.com: ROG Strix GL502VM 15.6" G-SYNC VR Ready Thin and Light Gaming Laptop NVIDIA GTX 1060 6GB Intel Core i7-7700HQ 16GB DDR4 128GB SSD 1TB HDD: Computers & Accessories

Straight off the bat comes with an i7 7700HQ stock @2.8 GHZ, 16GB of DDR4 ram running @ 2400 MHZ, and a 128GB SSD + 1GB HDD, everything really needed for most games today, all running @ 1920x1080

That being said I would advise against the laptop situation unless heavily needed due to moving around, school/work etc etc, sure there's many more laptops out there but thats what I've been looking at

Edit: Comes with Nvidia 1060 w/ 6GB dedicated ram
