When did you join Meepcraft? July 8th, 2014
Introduction: Hi there MeepCraft! It’s me Vex, or commonly known as Megan nowadays.
My time on Meep has been pleasant so far, and in a few weeks, I’d have been playing on Meep full time for one and a half years:) I’ve met so many wonderful players and even though I’ve had a rough introduction with some people, I believe that everyone on Meep is as good as gold. And honestly, even though I have had my ups and downs and my time as a member of the staff team, I could not imagine working for a server other than Meep. Over the time of the past year and a half, I have gained so many connections with people that I never thought I would have. I mean, most people on here have seen me sad, happy and all of that in between, and Meep has been there for me at times of need when no one in my life has been. I know that sounds immature and silly, but it is true, and I could have not wished for anything to change when I first joined the server. Currently, in game I am working on new pwarps and moving them into my new town! Most pwarps I am renovating to be put in the new town, such as /pwarp Potions and /pwarp Universal, but I’m also currently in the progress of starting a new town with @CryogenicNewt05 called Valentanya, it’s only going to be small for the meantime, but with the small capacity it’s in need of large details. On Top of this, I’m also in the progress of an island on skyblock, in which I have a full, hard working team (ndgates, Panda_10_ and a few more!) and the whole of us have made a lot of progress in the first week of starting the island, we got to level 159!
Outside of Minecraft, I am on my way to being college student, and will be studying beauty, I was hoping to get into Media makeup (all the zombie sfx and stuff) but unfortunately with my anxiety they said it wouldn’t be best to jump into such an intricate course, but I plan to join that next year so I have time to get used to college life, although I have just enrolled in my beauty level two course on the 1st september and I start my first day on the 14th of september, as sad as I am about not getting into media Makeu the path that I am taking will excel me further, as I can work in a salon at the end of the year, whereas Media Makeup I would have to complete the full course in order to do so, I will finish the end of the year and start at Media Makeup level 3, which will include all the SFX and out of the ordinary makeup, which I’m super excited for!
My grades are balanced enough to dedicate a lot of my time on Meep without having to worry too much about my studies, I have also found out my timetable so I can communicate with other staff about times when I can be on more and not.
I joined meepcraft on the said date July 8th 2014, but as many of you know I left for a year or so, and Joined Meep officially around October 2015.
Why should you be Helper? I personally feel that I should be a helper because I feel I have a good understanding of how to communicate with players, how things work in the “staff life” and am good at keeping a good modreq count while working on projects.
In my previous application it’s shown that I am afraid of talking in voice chat. But lately the urge to curl in a ball and cry when I have to talk doesn’t show up really any more and I am rather sociable. Also, I think my skyblock cooperation with other people besides Magnoot has started to improve greatly as I noticed that I have been very cooperative throughout my skyblock experience, as I have gotten along with my other skyblock partners. It has taught me more about working in a group and understanding my teammates.
I have been getting along great with current staff members, while I have had a few slip ups with a staff member, which can rightfully being pointed out that as rude and immature, I do realize how much of an unnecessary thing, and snapped out of it, having made that realisation. So I think that my relationship with the staff team would be as good as new if not better after seeing how much I have improved on how I talk and act!
I am quite active being on pretty much every day for an average amount of days, that, I think is good enough from based on how it used to be. And when I come online I don’t back out when someone needs help in global or asks a question. I have a pretty easy schedule so I’ll be fine with staying ‘Overtime’ if staff needs to go off and I’m there to moderate to get the meep staff to 24/7 coverage, as being back online a lot I have usually came on to when there was no staff online or they were afk or just about to leave. So I believe my time schedule fits up perfectly as it did before. I would consider myself a hard working Meeper, who would stick to any task given and wouldn’t mind giving some help to a staff if they’re in need.
I still am very knowledgeable of towny and other commands, so that can be crossed off, and I truly believe that I’ve got an incredible patience and can put people to rest fairly easily and, fit in with a little bit of talking.
I also am so passionate about Meep, which is why I decided to apply again, solemnly because I just love the fact of how one single person can make such a difference, and in a team, how that difference can escalate to much greater things! We may not have the largest player base, but we have the best community!
What are your weaknesses? -Anxiety-
I have said this in my last app, and I’m sorry to have to say it again, the Anxiety has definitely improved but it hasn’t improved that well to have to not mention this, but I think that what I say in global and in staff chat (when I had it) has really improved from being untalkative and only talking when questions were asked.
I think that I now am more cooperative than I usually am because of that 4 week course I was on, so I have to say that definitely changed for the greater good! It might stop me from coming on discord 24/7 but I will be happy to talk to some people at times :)
Please give any other information you might think is useful for us to know: I am very much aware my demotion will be asked about somewhere along the lines, whether that'd be in an interview if I get one or on the replies to this.
I’ll clear things up. I’ve learned that leaking isn’t tolerated within the staff team, as I’m now aware how altering of an effect it can have on how people view the staff team and what we do in it, I realise that leaking and ruining surprises for everyone isn’t fun at all and I have (finally) realised how to keep my mouth shut when blabbering about something someone shouldn’t know.
I'm also aware my discord activity isn't very on top right now, so I'm sure that might get mentioned somewhere, it's not that I don't like talking to people, haha, I'd be glad to talk if someone wants to anytime!
