Introduction: Hi guys, my name is Blake Cormack, but in-game you might know me by BeatriceSama, Scarlion, _ImaCutYou or any of the other names I’ve used in the past. I’m currently 15 years old and live in Huntington Beach. I’m also an avid fan of gaming, some of the various games I play being Overwatch, CS:GO, osu! and, of course, Minecraft.
Otherwise, I’ll spend my free time with my friends, watching anime, and drawing. I have a very unique music taste, which ranges from vocaloid and K-pop to Japanese power metal, but I’m happy that it’s that way since it represents a lot of my personality.
If I had to describe my history here, I’d probably say that it’s been troublesome, but now is the time to turn that around . Although I’ve been keeping up with Meep since late 2012, I’ve had a numerous amount of bans for varying reasons. I won’t get into it too much for the sake of brevity, but I want the community to know that I realize what I’ve done in the past is completely inexcusable, but it’s something that I can only put behind me by doing something positive for the server.
Why should you be Architect? Experience / I’ve been playing Minecraft for years now, and probably the most attractive aspect of playing it is the fact that you can be so creative and really express yourself inside of it. It doesn’t seem to matter what you want to create, Minecraft just has the blocks, so if you can imagine it, you can probably build it. I have five years of experience as a builder in Minecraft, and three years of serious building, like as a member and manager of a build team. On other servers, I have extensive experience managing and leading build teams, plus previously holding the builder rank on a plethora of servers. All of this prepares me well with the building skills to become Meepcraft’s next architect.
Specialization / Many of my builds can be classified as medieval or fantasy. I would say that this is especially important for a server like Meepcraft because most builds on the server currently go along with that style, so I could contribute aesthetically pleasing builds that don’t look out of place at all. Overall, I’d say my three largest strengths are creating text, medieval, and fantasy, so this not only makes me useful when building for towns, but when creating something that is supposed to represent the server in-game. Another large aspect of my build style that I’ve just recently started sharing with others is statue building, but that’s far less universal than the other strengths.
Dedication / Although my bans have taken some time away from me playing on Meep, I still feel like I’ve always been a member of the community and always care about what’s going on here. If I didn’t, there’s just no way I’d have stuck around for as long as I have, but I’m proud of that, because it represents my involvement with the community.
What builds have you completed on the server and where might they be located? The only build I have on meep post ban is the work in progress of Roswaal. Started it a few days ago, it's also shown in the last imgur link.
Please give any other information you might think is useful for us to know: I’d like to talk about my ban history for a moment here, because it’s just far too large to ignore. I’d like the community to know that the reason I’m applying for Architect isn’t for me, or for anyone else but the community. I can’t really justify any of my past behavior here, honestly. There are few players who can measure up to how toxic I used to be. But I’m focusing on creating lasting relationships with players, and generally trying to change that around.
How much experience do you have using Voxel and Worldedit? Frankly, I’m not that familiar with Voxel because I have never found it more useful than just combining WE and other plugins like goBrush. For example, I might make a landscape with gB and then use WE to change up the blocks, usually just adding gradients and smoothing, and generally make it look more in place. I don’t think voxel is needed. Everything that I have attached pictures of was made with ONLY goBrush and WorldEdit.
However, I consider myself very familiar with WorldEdit. I’m not sure where I’d be as a builder without it, to be completely honest. It’s a key component of all of my builds today, and serves as a great tool in making my builds just what they are. The biggest and most time saving component of WorldEdit, that I certainly utilize as much as I possibly can is the ability to copy/paste. I’m not a complete expert on the plugin, but I know more than enough to be successful using it.
