Introduction: Hi, I'm Daniel, also known as danieljthompson, who lives in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. I am 17, currently in Year 12 and have just finished up my Certificate III in Events (which is incorporated with Certificate II in Tourism). I work in supermarket retail and currently in the interviewing process to be part of the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games in 2018 as a volunteer. During most of my free time, I tend to mostly play games, and have been doing some occasional fun run/walk in a club called Hash House Harriers. When I was 12 or 13, I first found Meep from me searching through servers that had Economy in them, and Meep was one of my first servers I officially joined. But no matter what, I always loved to be part of MeepCraft, for it was part of my childhood and no other server was quite friendly and kind than Meepcraft. I have been away for more than 3 years and have returned still so happy to see the server still connected to its community. And after so long on the server, I have decided that I want to give back to it, which is the reason I want to become a Helper.
Why should you be Helper? Clearly because I love to help people out, apart from that, I also love to assist people both as a team and to improve the experience for both new players and providing assistance to people when needed. I have worked at supermarket retail and have learnt the importance of team work and how vital it is to also be positive and supportive of others. Some of the things I have learnt as to why I would like to be a staff member.
Good Work Ethics: For my total of 2 years of working, I understand how important it is to always do the right thing to everyone. It is strongly lined that you should never be a nuisance or abusive as the role model you show. It has also taught me about the different types of situation and how to handle the problem in a correct manner.
Mutual Respect: Overall, the ideal person must always be kind, wise and happy to everyone, as it can be enough that it would make someone's day. A simple positive attitude is a great gesture to anyone.
Caring: If someone is having a bad or sad day, I do my very best to turn it around and try to have a positive impact with them and tend to their thoughts until they feel better.
Dedication: I am always happy to get up and help out with a project; such as building, clearing and assisting with anything that is needed. Because getting involved with others is the best type of dedication to show that you are willing to take part.
Experience: As well as the 2 years of working in retail, I also have been part of a festival, called the North West Festival in Western Australia, for the first 3 years. Teaching me the huge steps and stages it takes to make shows and performances come together.
Performance: I tend to give it my all and go above and beyond to try and achieve my goal, that everyone is being treated fairly, shown care and to support them all the way through.
Ideas for the server: I am always thinking about what can make the server better in any way. I try coming up with ways people can come together more and keep watch at what other people think of it to improve on it.
What are your weaknesses? However with working hard to provide my best to everyone, I tend to have 3 types of weaknesses.
Hot Temper: A large amount of the time, I am calm and peaceful. However, if it escalates, I would get so annoyed, I may end up being extremely rude. So my plan to deal with this is to just have a break from the game and relax myself before resuming back to the game.
Strongly Defensive: As I have shown on some of the debates I made, if I feel like someone is being so rude and judgemental to someone, I instantly go to defend them/group from being insulted or stereotyped, and it ends up with me being even more nasty and insulting than the other person. I have since been warned about this with an infraction and from now on, I will try my hardest to stay away from debates and really think twice about what I am going to say in the matter of a Helper.
Tend to be quiet: Even though I might not say something or look like I'm that active in Discord or Site, I actually am, just prefer to check around and tend to not say anything. But if I saw someone in Discord, I am willing to talk with them.
Please give any other information you might think is useful for us to know: I have recently been aware of some of the issues I have done a month ago and strongly apologise for it and will try not to repeat it again. I use to also be a very stubborn player in Meep. But since then, have learnt that it's not just me, it's everyone that makes it possible. I have now been an assistant to Panem for about a month and have also been practicing all types of towny commands (that I can perform) so I have some experience coming into the staff team.
