Allow up to 3 capital letters in one word

This just makes sense, for example for acronyms like SAT or ACT. Most people evade up to 3 letters with no consequences anyway, so the rule is ignored anyway.

Currently, with advertisements such as ebooks, it is okay to do n I I I as it is the correct wording. but as the max you can do is 3. I think most people who would have this feature would abuse the honest crap out of it. I'm not naming anyone in particular but we don't have the perms as we want because some people know they will abuse it. it won't really help me as a staff per say. but I don't see no harm in this being implemented, although I feel some people who want this feature will make it go sooner that it came. -/+

Don't tell me you're serious. How the hell would people abuse a 3 letter caps rule? Im seriously expecting a reply with an example, I can think of no "abuse" worse than what players could currently do, which is type in the "H E L L O M E E P C R A F T" fashion. You're also acting like this is a big deal, meepcraft literally has 3 active players for every moderator, and I'm sure someone abusing this feature would be warned or kicked within seconds.

You're basically saying that improvements to make games more simpler and enjoyable (Called "Quality of Life" improvements) are not needed because there's needlessly more inconvenient ways to get around them. For example, lets take an air conditioner that has a dead raccoon inside of it. The air from the air conditioner smells absolutely terrible, but its not necessary to take the raccoon out because, according to your logic, the air conditioner still does its function by shooting cold air. Taking out the raccoon from the air conditioner is just like changing this redundant rule, it takes a very little amount of time to do and makes people on Meepcraft happier. This is a very important improvement because it aims to increase overall server happiness. Its clear that this thread and the multiple threads that came before it on the same topic shows that the community is unhappy about the current way chat is being handled. Additionally, almost every suggestion your team accepts is similarly a "Quality of Life" improvement like this one is.

The reason I'm critcizing you so harshly is because your opinion makes no sense at all. When people express their opinions, often times they say why they like it, especially when they're replying to threads about amending a rule. Your point makes no sense, you have no backing to it and refuse to respond to my points that challenge them.

Can you explain to me how giving three letter caps a nuisance? Almost all three letter words that will be capitalized are acronyms, and the mass consensus of this thread says that saying "L O L" (which we do nowadays) instead of just saying "LOL" is more annoying. If I wanted to be a nuisance, I could just bypass the chat filter, which actually just makes my all caps phrase more annoying.

Can you explain to me why giving people the option to capitalize two extra letters in a word will lead to more abuse? If someone wants to spam a particular phrase, they'll find a method to do it whether theres a 3 letter caps filter or not. If I wanted to spam a phrase, do you seriously think an easy to circumnavigate chat filter will stop me? Do you seriously think that adding a 3 letter caps system, something a vast majority of people want, will allow me to say a phrase I could not do with this current chat filter?

Can you explain to me how theres no need for quality of life improvements on Meepcraft? There is a way to say three letter acronyms on the server already, but isn't worth it to make people happier by changing the rule to accommodate three letter phrases? We've just established that the rule is redundant, and everyone on this thread so far wants the change. Im so harsh about this point because it makes you seem like you're going out of your way to defend staffs decision just because its staffs decision, you can't even explain why you want things to change the way they are using real, valid points.

Would there be a sort of acceptable compromise where there was still the filter but ot did not apply to certain keywords?
-an active player name, first to come to mind is SSSoul
-AFK, BRB, LOL, LMAO, more 3letter "words" Etc. Just most common abbreviations of 3-4 letters.

This "filter" would allow no more than say 3 words of 3-4 letters in caps.

Either way- I fail to understand why your attitude towards this is extremely uptight, when in reality it will make almost no difference to the amount of staff work you or any other staff do. There is legit no abuse involved. You may experience a bit more kicking required for the first day as any new change generally causes but after that you get a thing that people have literally been asking for since the same day the 1letter caps filter was put in.

Saying I I I instead of III looks way less attractive anyways. c': there is no way to abuse it or hurt anyone this way other than to be slightly annoying a few times before youre kicked and eventually banned and this will happen to the same exact people lmao

I have a bit of a dilemma here, because I actually like that the caps filter corrects things to This instead of THIs. However, T H I S is much worse than both, so personally I'm a +1.

My only addition is this; if possible, I think the best compromise would be that if the filter caught a word with only 3 (or possibly 4, though that's a stretch) or less caps, it would keep them all. However, if the filter caught a word with more than that limit, it would correct it to This instead of THIs. I feel this would be the best compromise in the situation; keeping chat nice while allowing people to advertise and use acronyms without using unecessary and annoying workarounds.

I'm a big fan of this idea here as it accomplishes both keeping out too much spam, yet also allows for players to use some caps.
