Introduction: Hello, I'm Ethan, but all of you probably know me as Nacho. I've been playing Meep for almost 3 years now it seems. I currently live in Los Angeles, California. My favorite things to do include playing Minecraft (obviously), reading, and pretty much just talking. I asked my friends what words they would use if they could describe me in two words. The most popular words that came up were funny and witty. I'm not really a huge sports person. The only team sport I discovered I enjoy is Volleyball, which is rather unfortunate for me, as my school doesn't offer Volleyball for boys. I love Volleyball so much though that I decided I would play on the girl's team. At first, it was a bit weird because I was the only boy there, but as the season progressed, they began to accept me, and not think it was weird that I play anymore. This taught me how to adapt to a new situation where I wasn't necessarily my most comfortable. It taught me to do what you love, even if people tell you don't belong, or that you shouldn't be there. What I learned from that experience, is that it's okay to be different than everyone else. One thing I pride myself in is being optimistic. I can find a bright side in almost any situation.

Why should you be Helper? Experience:
I have been playing meepcraft for a while now and am a pretty well-known player. I know pretty much all the commands and will gladly explain them and what they do to new players, or just others seeking help. I don't know any of the commands required in the staff position being as I've never been staff.

Persistence:
When I set my mind to something, I make sure it gets done, and that it's done well. When people do jobs lazily and slack off, it annoys me a lot.

Free Time: I tend to have a lot of free time on Meep, which means lots of free time to do modreqs and work on staff projects. Normally, when I get bored or have lots of free time on meep, I just leave and go read or play some other game, but if I had the staff position, I could use that free time to be productive instead of rooting my brain playing Happy Wheels.

Motivation/Dedication: Being as I've been on meep for around 3 years now, I've gotten quite attached. After spending countless hours and dollars on this server, I want it to thrive and be the very best it can be. Therefore, I would never take advantage of my staff powers or be unbeneficial to the server in any way.

Teamwork: I love working on teams, and being a part of something bigger than myself. People who work alone, (in my opinion) get things done less efficiently. I enjoy hearing others ideas and opinions on things and work well when it comes to compromising.

Idealistic: I know what you're thinking. "Idealistic? We don't need someone who thinks of perfect fantasies and world peace." That's not what I mean. When I say idealistic, I really mean that I am good at coming up with goals and good ideas to help benefit people. Sometimes, my ideas can be a bit unrealistic or even impossible, but with enough hard work, I believe anything is possible. "If you will it, it is no dream." -Theodore Herzl. I think that Meep needs something new to spark the interests of new players, and I think I can bring that spark to Meep.

Forward Thinker: I am great at forward thinking. I love making plans and schedules for myself and planning for the future. I have pretty much everything I do written down or stored somewhere to make sure I don't forget.

What are your weaknesses? Immaturity: Everyone can be immature. I think that someone who is never immature is boring. Nobody wants someone who is serious, strict and can't take a joke. While that person may be a hard worker or a great rule follower, they tend to be very dull and humorless. I personally don't believe immaturity is a weakness. Sometimes it good to be a little funny and such. What's not okay is when you cross the line. Being funny is funny, but when you've crossed the line, you need to stop. My weakness here is that I sometimes don't realize I've crossed the line between immature and just plain mean.

Argumentative/Opinionated: I know that argumentative and opinionated aren't really the same thing, but they tie in together. I am a very strong-willed, opinionated person. When people disagree with me, I can be a bit argumentative. I don't mean to be rude when I do it, it's just that sometimes, I want people to agree with my point of view. I am trying to work on this and be kinder in the way I explain my views.

New Situations/Prejudice: I tend to be rather uncomfortable trying new things and may form a prejudice about them before I've experienced them myself. Recently, I've been trying to step out of my comfort zone, and try new things. While the staff position will be new for me, I don't think this weakness will affect my time as staff, but this is my main weakness so I thought it was important I included it.

Please give any other information you might think is useful for us to know: Before writing this app, I re-read all of the comments from my previous application to see what I could work on.

Hi Nacho, this is what I think of your app:
1. I am very confused, you said August 2015 and then said "almost 3 years" that would mean 2014 then. Typo?
2. Even though I have barely or not seen you at all on Meep, I do have an understanding about you from your introduction.
3. Overall you have gotten a very formal application (with a tiny bit of informal here and there) which is very good for someone your age.
4. I'm glad that you admit of your weaknesses, but something like immaturity is okay, to an extent. I mean, the fun side is okay, but immaturity for very serious issues are not meant to be used. So if you could manage to control the immaturity or try to limit it, that would be just enough for you to be a staff member.
So at the moment Nacho I will be on the fence at neutral +/- good luck.

I do think that you need to prove yourself to the general community first (help out more players, answer questions in /g, etc) before you have a good chance at getting accepted. You are a very responsible and helpful person though, and you have the skills to become a staff member. For this I will give you a +1.

Before reading the application, I had my mind to insta -1 you because you clearly need improvement on maturity. And after reading the application, I still think that you can improve on that. Being immature and being sociable is actually very different. In my opinion, staff needs to chill a little more bit but not by being immature. Being immature means that one is naive and generally is upright annoying.

However, I'm impressed by the work you put in, especially as a twelve year old, and how you took time to polish your application and address your weaknesses to the best.

+1 From me, Nacho, I've seen you help around and in my early days of a helper I saw you online almost everyday, my only concern is your maturity and your ability to help out in global, I know I said you're active, but active in global isn't something I regularly see, and maturity, well we'll need that to be cut down a little, I'm not saying the old joke is considered 'bad staff' quality, but you can't let loosley on situations at which other staff will ban /kick for, but other than that I think you're a good applicant and I'd love to work with you :D

I think this was one of my favourite parts of your application, it shows initiative and that in this world, you stepped out of general knowingness within your school, this shows me you're ready to try new things and based on how long you have been on the server I think that you couldn't be a better applicant from all that I've seen :)

First things first, I see all these people going -1 to you, let me say one thing. I feel as if everyone should get a chance to improve, I have seen your other application and I can really see some good improvements, And with your weaknesses, most people get mature as they get older, (most) So that isn't a big let back.

Your application is long and well written.
However I have two main issues.
1. Immaturity. Age has nothing to do with being able to be a staff member or not, but maturity does. It matters quite a bit, because being a staff member is quite a responsibility. Also, you didn't discribe it as being a weakness, so what's the point putting it there?
2.

I don't mean to be rude when I do it, it's just that sometimes, I want people to agree with my point of view.

Although argumenting is fine, this is a really big problem. Part of being a staff member is to know how to interact with players, and listen to their point of view, and not to necessarily agree with them, but to not pressure them into your own beliefs.

From what I've seen of you in game, you're a nice person who sometimes helps out, but there's also an overwhelming sense of immaturity. I am very glad that you do address this in your weakness section of the app, however I do think this is something you need to improve on before I can fully be confident giving you a +1. Becoming mature is something that while you do need to work at, will come with age. Right now, although there have been some incredible younger staff, I believe you aren't currently ready for the position.

In terms of the actual application, I think there are some parts that are well written, and other that I think you can improve on. I'll give you a break down of your app so if you are indeed denied this time. and you chose to reapply in the future, you can have some sort of reference.

I would have liked you to go a little further in depth as to each point here. My personal opinion is that it's better to have 2 really really strong points, rather than a lot of weaker ones. One way for you to make this section a lot better is to provide real examples that have happened to you before. This not only gives the reader a little more insight into how you operate in certain situations, but gives you a lot of credibility.

I think you addressed each weakness well, I do have a few things to say about this though.
When it comes to being immature, I think you're 100% correct in saying that a person who is never immature is boring. However, learning the time and place where you need to be mature is very important, and that's part of maturity in general. You will learn this as you get older, it's just a matter of time.
Understanding how to address people in a way that doesn't come off as rude is an important skill to have when you're trying to make a point. It's ok to be very opinionated, but communicating those opinions in a way that makes others want to listen is where I think you could improve.
I think you're enthusiastic about this position, so I don't believe it would impact you too much. I am however glad you mentioned this one.

I think this is an important thing to do that a lot of people forget to think of. I'm glad you took the time to go back and re-read everything so you could actually get a good understanding of where you needed improvement, and it's clearly payed off.

Once again, I'm a -1 for now, but I believe that with age you will make a great staff member one day. Good luck!

During your application, there were some instances where you shared your opinion about other people or subjects. This made the application a little informal. The application should be about you and you only, and the opinions weren't really needed.

While this bugged me, I thought it was just a one or two time instance. However, when I visited another thread against a person's denial, you abruptly made your point as to why that person shouldn't be a staff member. Personally, commenting on the subject of a person's application negatively while you are applying as well doesn't speak well of you. You're in the hot seat as well and it's hypocrtical when other people can think of you the same way. Even if you were soaring and this application was a recipe for success, it's still pretty rude.

All in all, while this specifically irked me, I feel you definetly have the potential to become a staff member. You're just not ready yet.

Up to now, the problem I was explaining up above reoccurred numerous times. You constantly bring other people down on threads that you don't like (or about people you don't like). I find this annoying and petty, and while you may have the knowledge to suffice being a staff member, I don't think your the type of person who would be a good example for other players. I'm only speaking from a player standpoint, not a staff standpoint, because I'm not a helper or a person who would rightly justify knowing what type of a person you would need to be.

Hey, Nacho.

Unfortunately at this time, we don't believe you meet the requirements for being a Helper. You have been seen telling people you are going to ban them once you become staff, which shows a certain amount of arrogance and immaturity. I'd like to see you working on this and helping more in global, then perhaps another application if you want to :)
