Hey so this is something I've disagreed with for a long time but I just figured out how to word it:
If you place a kid in a candy shop with no store workers what is the kid going to do? They're gonna steal all the candy, because it's fun and it tastes good.
Similarly,
If you place a kid in a KitPVP world or Spawn world with no protection what is the kid gonna do? Break everything.
In both of these situations there's a law that has been broken: 1) don't steal or 2) don't grief. However, due to humans being humans and having flaws, they break the rules anyways because they're trying to have fun and no one is telling them otherwise.
If a kid steals all the candy from the store without a store owner, are you really going to put the kid in prison for the rest of their life? Heck no! You're gonna lecture the kid on why it was wrong and give him a minor punishment.
If a kid griefs KitPvp world because of a server fault, are you really gonna permanently ban the kid? Evidently, yes! ??? ? ?
Do you see the inconsistencies here?
I believe the rule should be changed so that if this type of thing happens, they get a 1s tempban and a conversation on Discord about why what they did was wrong.
Why will this help the server? Well, for starters, less people will be banned -> more players and 2) you're teaching kids morals (awwweee) 3) this rule will line up better with the other rules (ex: warn players 5930 times before kicking for spam)
