Switching in towns wild

When towns fall, they have chests, lots of chests. If we were allowed to open doors and chests on fallen towns, it would make looting so much easier. Having to pay 5k (town outpost price) is such a pain and once you've payed that, you really just lose money because anything you can find is probably worth less than 5k.

Also, this would allow residents of fallen towns to retrieve stuff which they've lost.

This would effectively ruin towny raiding, and any and all risk of your town falling. It kind of ruins the point of working to keep a town up or bothering to keep a personal town.
It takes away a bigger part of meep than you may think.
Edit: tbh I thinj the suggestion here is to lower claim price

I know switch perms are a bit tricky or possibly buggy, but it would be nice having the ability to open doors without being able to open chests.

The problem with this is though, the first resident that finds their town fallen will take all the loot so the plugin will be meaningless

There's really no way to allow doors only to be switched, and we certainly do not want chests to be accessible. While it can be a nuisance for new players to retrieve their items, they can do several things.

Ask a new town to claim it for them
Claim it with your own town
Give it up and start over

Back in Alpha, players constantly lost houses, so my town would just claim the 1 plot as an outpost and give it to them, problem solved.

But Moving on...
I am on the fence with this suggestion, to be honest as it can help people who just lost their town who can gather their stuff. but what about if other towns manage to salvage it first, but besides that, I'm very sure if there are valuable stuff in chests then there are valuable stuff on the plot too, so you would want to claim it if so, would you not?
