When did you join Meepcraft? Very soon after the end of MeepNetworks (I believe this is around November 2013 I joined, but only played skyblock and Kitpvp for nearly two years)
Introduction: Hello, my name is Shawn. I als go my in game name, smkorpi, or smk. I am a sophomore in highschool in all honors classes with A's and B's, I am involved in many school groups such as band, wind ensemble, science club, robotics, and soccer; but none of this gets in the way of my time I spend on meep.
Why should you be Helper? I have had a weak spot for meepcraft ever since I joined and even after some rough incidents, I still always come back. I feel that one of the things that make me different from most other applicants is just how much I care about the server that I've spent a majority of my free time on over the last 3 years.
I can also go into the great aspects and formats I've seen over my time watching forums, and found that dedication, experience, and listening to others to be my strong suits.
My dedication to meepcraft has been shown through the multiple number of years that I've spent here, and very greatly through the fact that I've purchased ranks using my own money. I enjoyed participating in the townhall meetings and trying to offer solutions I think would best help the server.
My experience in minecraft as a game is pretty great, proof being decent at skyblock. And I could answer almost a majority of people's questions about the game. I also have experience with commands and how meep works through my time playing here. While I do not have the same amount of time and experience that others have in towns, I excel with knowledge regarding the commands in skyblock.
Finally, my ability to listen is something I think all helpers should have. When I am told something to do, I will either will do it to the best of my ability. I feel some ways that I could contradict this would be the questions I ask if there is a better way, but I will still follow directions.
What are your weaknesses? Oh, how I could fill this section.
In the past I have had some issues with staff due to rules I didn't agree with. This hasn't been an issue for over 3 months, but I wanted to mention it.
Also in the more recent past I've had problems with one or two particular players, many of you may have seen these in global, and even asked me to stop. I was very immature to argue or debate in global, and I am sorry. I have been working on this weakness the most, as this is something that would be a big fat no for a staff member.
My final weakness I sort of mentioned in the Why section of my application, I often question things. Whether this be anything from wondering why this was the best idea to nearly defying authority, I do not personally think this would be a huge issue. But if my questioning is too much, I will stop when asked.
Please give any other information you might think is useful for us to know: I have been banned a couple of times in the past. These include one griefing, one scam, one for no reason, and one for arguing / staff disrespect (I'm guessing the reason was staff disrespect, I was not online when I was banned, nor did I ever see the message). All of these bans aren't good things, but I've learned from all of these mistakes. I took from the staff disrespect that even if I'm technically right, I need to learn that sometimes you just don't get your way. My scam ban (which was a complete misunderstanding and a ban over 300 meebles) I learned that to avoid trouble sometimes you have to give a little. From the griefing ban I learned to sign off when I am that aggravated, and to be nicer to others even when you were done wrong.
Overall, The thoughts of being a staff member has for the last two years been a huge goal of mine, and this will be my first try.
I am open to criticism in my comments, please do not +1 just because you like me, but give a reason or weakness that I missed. I am not confident this application will be accepted, so I hope to get as much to work on as possible.
