To be completely fair, rudeness aside he's right about the /fix.

Without /fix, it's not worth it to godfight because the durability you lose doesn't offset the items you get by killing the other dude.

That's not to say that we should bring back /fix, but it at least explains the decline of terrarium pvp.

I was only rude to matt because im tired of ignorance being peoples reasoning like they have a single clue what a gameplan even is lol. Its single handidly the most annoying thing I deal with on the daily.

Heres how it works with the new system and the way I planned months ago to revive pvp while keeping the server right.
The new jobs system is linked with Mcmmo and if youre a pvper and thats your main go to thing, You can choose to be an armorer where after you hit a good level, you can repair armor for a lesser cost than everyone else on the server. Not only will it benefit you and your pvping, but people will be paying you to fix armor for them who didnt choose that job.

1.Making money
2.Not everyone has fix
3.Its limited to not effect the eco badly
4.you get what you want

no sorry for being unclear, but I meant that even though Matt was rude about he stated his point, the overall point is right.

I like the new jobs idea though.

Less terrain and a more open near the spawn. Also I love the bounty plugin that we had. A leaderboard would also be pretty cool.

Basically what pmx said, but I think it would be better to see terrarium in its own world. It'll be hella lot less laggy, have custom plugins dedicated to it, etc

From videos I've seen online, minecraft PVP looks like an absolute joke. I can understand why people would like no environmental hazards in other games such as Super Smash Bros, because many just like to duke it out without the hassle of items. But in Minecraft PVP, its really not about skill, its about preparation. The best pvper in the world will lose to xXBudderSwordxDXx if the latter is prepared with god gear while the former isnt. If minecraft PVP is all about preperation, I really think varied environments can help give an advantage to people who know their way with PVP.

Without environmental hazards minecraft PVP is basically a competition to see who eats the most golden apples.

People can run behind things like hills or trees, beat the 10s timer and log out when they're about to die, so people waste a bunch of armor durability for nothing.

I don't mind some degree of terrain, but too much terrain hurts pvp. None of the major pvp servers have terrain-y arenas, and that's for a reason.

Not necessarily, I've seen amazing pvp'ers in iron armour destroy an average person in dia god.

Grass is in the way of hitting things, water slows both you and the other person down, and hiding in minecraft unless you're playing like halo is just... not fun.

I still think some terrain is good. You can force a person running away from you to confront it to hopefully get a hit on them.

some, for sure. I have no problem with a bit of decoration, and I'm sure plenty of "real pvpers" wouldn't care much either. Meep, however, tends to get a bit too crazy with the decorations and makes stuff a bit too varied, a bit too thick. Less is more.

The old kit map is actually a great example. There's some really varied terrain but its mostly pretty flat, there's areas with more and areas with less grass, water, lava, etc, so you really can pick and choose if you so wish. Granted, it's much too big for a terrarium. but the basic idea is there.

Honestly pvp is for scrubs. The real talent is in the fishing. Any punk can click their mouse thousands of times to swing a dull stick around. But fishing, that's where the real adrenaline rush is.

I mean a very small ammount, like maybe a mountain with plains all around it. It just needs to have enough terrain to look nice and not be a dirt circle, those are pretty boring. It doesn't even need to be outdoors, it can be an indoors terrarium, sort of like a dungeon.

You say indoors, but that's worse than terrain. Having structures, IMO, ruins it as well. Unless its a small thing, I think it's bad. I don't think you should be able to get on top of a building or go inside of a building if you want a real pvp deal going on

I think you misinterpret me. I'm thinking like a dungeon with not much in it, but with separate rooms. Actually, the development of a terrarium where you cant see whats going on will lead to a sense of mysterious and increase the amount of uninterrupted 1v1's, which is something I'm sure the style PVPers enjoy best.

A truly great pvper learns to use the environment to his/her advantage. Those that complain, are simply using it as an excuse to hide their inferior qualities.
