Fly-time is my idea on how to reintroduce /fly to Meepcraft, as well as attracting more players to stay and work on the server.
The general idea of how it works:
/fly is able to be obtained by all players.
Whilst a player has /fly active, each minute there is a specified meeble/(item*) cost. This cost could be a significant amount as to make it difficult to obtain, especially for new players; inspiring them to stay and work for it**.
Each player has a set time of /fly allowed per 24 hours. E.g. 1 hour. Doing so will make people use it sparingly and only for the activities they really need it for. This also stops it being to OP and taking the fun out of the server.
* The cost of using /fly could be tuned into an item(s) rather than meebles. This could dictate growth in the economy as certain items start being drained more frequently and require steady production. However this idea may be hard to impliment so a meeble price would be the more realistic option.
**I have an idea where new players could be given a few hours of free Fly-time. This time would help new players to navigate the huge spawn and allow them explore Meep fully, showing them all the greatness it has to offer before settling down in a town and earning some meebles for themselves.
How could donor ranks be incorporated into this?
This is a very good question and there are a few ways that I have thought up in order to tackle this obstacle.
First: In each step-up in rank there are more and more customization's available for the command. Including and not limited to: Fly speed(Max speed set low for citizens, can be gradually increased with each rank), auto-flyer, invisibility cloak and mining speeds(Can work like flying speed).
Second: In each step-up in rank the play can get more Fly-time per 24 hours. However, using this extra time could cost even more meebles making less OP.
Third: This contradicts Number 2. Making the Fly-time cheaper in each rank upgrade, however this is my least favorite of all 3 ideas.
In conclusion, I feel like this is a very good idea with a lot of potential. It is a very unique idea (haven't seen it anywhere else) making this perk a Meepcraft exclusive. This idea will have many loopholes and problems that I am unable to spot meaning that the meep community and staff team will have to come together to make this idea perfect, and I really think it can be done.
What do you think?
