^^ If anyone can guess what that title name is from, kudos to you.
Well Meep, it's been a wonderful 3 and a half years. Mid-February 2013, a young lad named SSSoulblade wandered onto a new world of PC Minecraft after being stuck on Pocket Edition and watching youtubers play Hunger Games. A friend of mine named the_living_pizza invited me to play, and we played HG for a while before I moved onto towns and parkour. My favorite thing on parkour was sitting on the bottom of checkpoint 1 (The house right before the little lava parkour house) and waiting for people to fall and drop diamonds or other random materials.
It was during this time I met some of my closest Meep-friends, many of which I've talked to throughout my whole Meep-career. I've owned THREE alpha towns (Soulville, Epictown, SkySide) and one beta town (Epictown.) I've been staff a total of THREE times. I've spent over a THOUSAND hours on Meep, and I've enjoyed many interactions with many different people. And so I want to just say thank you.
Meep is pretty much the only Minecraft server I've ever played on actively, and it's almost like a second home to me, especially during a time of severe depression.
Though I may be leaving now, I'll drop in every so often to check in and I'll definitely be on forums at least once a day.
Shoutouts to:
@GingerManOWNS, one of my first friends on a new server. You taught me how to use /shout when I got frustrated no one was coming to buy my heads, and we became close for a while before the "dark age."
@Lysseal My closest friend on Meep, and though I haven't talked to you in a while, I hope you're doing great out there
@Klitch Another good friend of mine who I had a lot of crazy times with, stay cool.
@Akiratohiama I know we had our disagreements towards the end, but you were someone I respected when I first joined the game.
@Muunkee lol idek what to say ur fun :p
@currentstaff I didn't get to know most of you very well, but you guys seem well knit and work fairly well, though you don't get enough credit for what you do. I don't mean to turn this thread into a rant, but I believe that it's important for you guys to preserve a good image of yourselves on the server.
@Myfellowweebs Send me your MALs/Hummingbird/googledoc so I can continue to hide and watch animes until I've rot to nothing more than bones.
@all I don't know many of you anymore, most of my oldest friends have quit, but I believe that Meep is a place you can keep making friends. You'll make enemies, of course, but Meep is school without the tension and hassle of learning/homework in my opinion. It's a social hangout that may not be played for the game, but for the people.
Talking and meeting people here has changed my life for the better, and if you're one of those people who bash on people for no particular purpose, I'd recommend you change or you're in for a long ride.
