Introduction: Hi, my name is Etha_lightflame, but most people call me etha. i am 16. I like art, sports and playing minecraft.
I have gotten to know many people in my time playing on the meepcraft server, wether it be from being a friend, a neighbor or a costumer in a /pwarp anywhere really (make this flow better?). in my life, I have seen many kinds of people wether they were nice or mean and I know what its like to be a victim, I was bullied the majority of my life, and for me, nothing hurts more then when i see others gettting hurt by this others; I want to be able to step in and help people face the difficulties that other people create. When I say this, I don't mean I want to jump in and ban half the server, but rather just be able to say, "hey, stop or you may be banned in the future" (This is the Streisand Effect: No one considered your scenario until you mentioned it. It would have helped you not to say this at all, despite it making your app shorter).
p.s Why did you format your intro with a "p.s"?
I know that people are going to be unhappy I put no for, ''do you have teamspeak?'' but I have tried and the client does not work on my current computer and I would appreciate if i am accepted for an interview that I could use a different site to do so. (rabb.it) (Run-on sentence, add some punctuation to clarify your point.) (Not an excuse. Helpers should be able to find a way to get Teamspeak no matter what computer they're using. Otherwise, you're not that prepared for the position which requires problem-solving skills) .
Why should you be Helper? I wanna give back to the server in a way that says this server is a kid friendly environment; Additionally, to be able to give a clear message when I ask someone to stop picking on another or to stop stealing from another player that if they don't there can be consequences if you don't stop (Make this sentence more clear; It's hard to even correct it.). But what do you want to provide that other applicants don't? It's neccessary for your goal to at least be unique to make you seem more desirable.
Also, I want to be able to lighten the load for some of the more busy helpers if i am accepted.
What are your weaknesses? I try, but I am not the person you would want to have edit your work, as you can clearly see above for how talented I am at editing. Not a weakness that directly applies to helper job, but you need to seriously improve on your ability to edit, as you can see with this response here.
I am not great with sarcasm. I can tell when its being used on the server most of the time, but I am usually really really bad at using or understanding sarcasm. This is still not that great of a weakness.
Also, in your weaknesses, provide a PLAN you will use to help improve yourself on this issue. Stating your weaknesses doesn't show that you are a good candidate, but rather that you have weaknesses. Capitalize on every section!
Please give any other information you might think is useful for us to know: In grade 5 I was in a group called peacemakers, and what we would do was make peace and supervise others and make sure everyone was ok.

Looking at your application, you have some glaring issues with your ability to type in clarity and may raise additional questions:

1) Are you really 16? It seems unlikely that a 16 year old would type like this, especially in British Columbia. The only reason I could see this being acceptable is if you are Bi-lingual, but since you do not disclaim this in your app, we can't assume that.
2) What unique aspect would you bring to the staff team? There are a lot of staff members right now, and to be desirable, you have to stand out against any other candidate. This application seems quite generic and doesn't go far enough to describe why you SHOULD be a helper.
3) Are you trying to stretch the truth on some aspects to seem more appealing? I ask this, since you say you're online upwards to 12 hours a day on the weekends, but then say you will then be less active in October, without saying that in the appropriate section. Also, as previously mentioned, I don't know whether or not you're 16. You can be honest with your age; There have been 11-year-old supermods in the past.

I'm doing this because of the simple fact that you have given me nothing positive - I have not seen you positive and helpful in shout, I've seen no maturity, nothing. The best way for you to give me a positive, your why section..

Its very very lacking in detail and in information whatsoever. Your one place to give me good information on this app, you did not, and the rest of your app further proved that you are not at the level of maturity that staff requires.
Also, Ladycass's post is highly concerning to me. It seems that your intentions are not in the right places.
Show me maturity, show me what good you can do, and apply again in a month or so.

Hey Etha,
I've been listening and observing you for the last couple days on teamspeak and in game. I've talked to you on teamspeak and your a nice guy, Im glad you got teamspeak and increased your forums activity. Yet, you have not proven to me that you have what it takes to be a staff member, I don't see maturity from you nor do I see you helping. I suggest when working on your future application make it detailed and mature the next time you apply. Work on your maturity, application, and helping others and apply in a month or so.

After working with you on teamapeak and in game I am changing my vote to a +1 for interview despite the poor application. If you are denied come to me and I'll give you some tips and pointers as someone who's written their fair share of apps.
I've seen nothing but good things from you lately.

Hey etha. So,
You're a friend, a kind one at that. You're fun to talk to and know how to act generally. You've been trying your best to improve and work towards this position, which is great! However, I don't believe that you quite know what this position entails. I believe that you think it's just modreqs and helping out players in general, but it's more than that. You have much more responsibility than you do as a player, I'm not saying you won't be able to handle it, but that you might not be prepared for what's to come down this path. Next, your application. It didn't quite contain the information it should. The why was lacking, it didn't help me understand why you should be a helper. Don't let this put you down, I know you can keep heading in the right direction. As for my vote, I stand at a -0.5. If I hadn't had met you on teamspeak and had some good talks with you, I would have been a sure -1 due to immaturity. I now know where you're heading, and it's great :)

Were really proud of you for improving on things and working on your weaknesses, I do see improvement in you, but as a staff team we believe you need more time. If your still confused on what to work on you can look at the good criticism people gave you on your application.
