It's funny you post this, because I was just watching a couple videos about how to make good YouTube videos/content and such.
Instead of making you sit through couple hours of YouTube links, I'll summarize them for you.
you don't need expensive gear. Of course you'll need working gear that isn't an eyesore to watch your videos, however you won't need much.
Unique content. You want what you make to grasp the audience. Too many times I don't watch stuff in my sub box because it's the same boring video games, the same boring content creators. However if you can make a video that is interesting/helpful/fun to watch and isn't like everyone else, people will ignore your mispronunciation if they deem you're worth listening to.
Being yourself is like the icing on the cake. I hate youtubers that try to imitate the other styles of more popular youtubers to try and get yourself up. (There is nothing wrong with taking pieces of other styles, long as you put your own twist on it.) Although trying to fix how you say your r's is a good idea, don't try and change how you speak just for YouTube videos. Have confidence in how you speak, don't be shy. Also mean comments are mean comments. If you just ignore them you'll be better off. Don't delete them, don't react to them. Don't make a "Mean Comments" video. Just keep doing what you do.
