Gamma (hidden reset?)

I just wanted to make a thread for people to discuss what they think of the new world added. I personally love the idea of a 1.10 wild, towny, balance and literally everything that gamma should offer. However, where i feel extremely let down by is the huge problem it has left for previous alpha or beta towns.

Firstly, it has made alpha or beta seem very useless. Items are not worth much anymore, no one will want to be in alpha or beta town when they can be in gamma town with items they can easily sell in warp shop, which leads me on to the second problem.

Secondly, the lack of a warp shop for aloha or beta is unreal. Plain and simple, this was in my opinion a stupid decision and i hope we get seperate shops for both worlds. (Elytra wouldn't be a bad add)

Thirdly, i feel that the little things like not being able to use your bal from aloha or beta for shout etc is super annoying, this is also similiar to the problem of meebles from votes now being worth a lot more, which was a clever little ruse... Or maybe i am being synical.

Please post what you think of new gamma, i really want to be persauded that a or b will remain and things will get fixed, but atm not feeling hopefully. Overall, i am okay with how meep handled it, but i feel there a major things which feel this is a way of staff making a soft and slow reset to town a or b to attract new players...

meep doesn't have enough players to split between 3 town worlds, hence them purely advertising gamma. if they actually supported the other towny worlds it would just be a wasteland in all the town worlds.

I don't understand what you mean by this? Even with gamma open people were still in alpha and beta...
So we clearly have enough players.

I mean new players being directed to the towny worlds. there wouldn't be enough new ppl coming in that the large towns would be unsustainable.

Ok, I know this from being a long time resident/staff in 3 of the major beta towns, and owning one of the major alpha towns, a certain amount of your players get kicked/lose plots each day, however, with dedication and diligence, you can gain more residents than you lose, however with 3 gamma worlds, without a very substantial increase in players there won't be enough new players choosing a specific towny world... ugh if I make no sense I will explain myself in a few hours...

I hope this near future is in a matter of weeks... Because if not the economy in alpha and beta will be too far gone. But maybe this is what was intended... a soft hidden reset.

I mean you can kind of see that - people were were pro reset got what they wanted. People who wanted to keep their items for either personal value or its just a project they wanted to keep working on got to keep alpha and beta. Both sides are happy. I see good things for keep in the future.

Totally not ignoring people who wanted to keep their monetary value in towny, and or continue building in a or b? Anyway I think i will have to wait another year for anything to be changed, that seems the timescale nowadays on meep.

I think that Alpha/Beta should have its own wild and have its own shop. Gamma should still have its own 'economy' to excite players about starting fresh.

This is exactly what they should have done, but they rushed it. In my opinion they should have waited till a wild and shop for towny a and b existed.

To be honest, I'm not really a fan of having 2 economies and 2 different balances at a time. I would've been happier if everyone only had 1 balance throughout every single world and 1 economy to focus on.

A lot of people i am sure wod have, but the server is not run by the people. I think what has happened was probably the best. Only thing that makes me doubt Meep and future is the way it was done.
