TL;DR; Yesterday, Towns Gamma came out and the server updated to 1.10. The server cut off Alpha/Beta into their own little economy and set the main focus as Gamma, making wild and shop both with a new eco instead of Alpha/Beta's. By mailing @KlutchDecals, players could transfer their Alpha/beta money through a ratio of 50-1 (1mil Alpha/Beta-->20k Gamma) to Gamma.
Personally, I think it's a fresh change. Tbh, I was kind of tired of sitting in my Alpha head museum saying "/tr buying heads" over. I think a lot of people are a little upset about losing everything they've worked for in Alpha/Beta (towns, head museums, etc.) but I think that Gamma could be a nice change. It's not like post-MN where everything was deleted for good, you can still visit Alpha/Beta and buy heads there.
Gamma was certainly an unexpected surprise, but I think everyone and anyone can grow to get used to it being there.
On a side note, I thought the MeepQuest @ spawn was hilarious and the Terrarium looks amazing.
