from this? no. if I do go through with this idea, all the code will be reviewed by at least one tech (if it even gets implemented at all)
a large part of this is that people outside of the team do not know our system. Its very important to know the system you are working on so you don't make things that clash with one another.

This is what i was getting at when i was saying if my application gets accepted. The club could provide the basic functionality of what needs fixing and then me (or another tech) could be the one to review, modify and get approval for the code to integrate it with what meep already has, without letting non-tech club members know what goes on behind the scenes.
we have our own custom work built by our own developers that took time and effort for Meep specifically. The things that we have are meant to be for Meepcraft and a public release would make it easier for other servers to implement our work.

First and foremost a minecraft server lives and dies off of offering a unique experience and to do that there needs to be unique code and or plugins. If, as you have suggeted, we have a coder club where code which may or may not be used on meep is public then there is nothing stopping any individual of the community taking that for their own. Thus leading to that server offering meep's "custom" experience with whatever other code they could take.

Maybe we could have some kind of agreement that is made upon joining where the member agrees not to share code or info outside the club or [insert consequence here].
Although i do understand what you are saying about the risks of allowing others to write code for meep, i feel that this ability to hep the server with little wait time could both give people who want to help the opportunity to do so, and help the server fix bugs.
I don't understand this, its really easy to apply for Tech and with the proper skillset you can easily become Tech here. In fact you just applied not too long ago.

to clarify, one of the reasons i applied for tech was so i could put my computer skills to use over the summer while i had tons of time to dedicate to helping meep. And, since my school schedule is busy, i wouldn't be able to get on for very long or very often as i have been this summer. This is why i rewrote the "caps detection" features of meep, so i could help out with what i saw as an issue (that was before i had seen the trello) while i still had time.
