This may be defeating the whole purpose of a fair, but I think Instead of building huge building on a regular basis, I think we could build one futuristic building (maybe as its own town) and when a town is nominated they are responsible for clearing the old pavilions and running the fair for that period. Then there can be new pavilions without burdening small towns with the cost of rebuilding everything.

Or, each town nominated can build a pavilion for their town and people can explore anytime in order to find a new town. (Maybe there could be a party when each new pavilion is added to get ppl to go there)

Also, maybe we can expand it beyond towns and make it a way to discover new places in meep (like cool pwarps). The towns can build a pavilion for free and pwarp owners could pay like 50k-100k for a pavilion to advertise their pwarp at...

@WeAreNumberUno from my (potentially flawed) understanding, the fair is to allow people to promote their towns and services (pwarps/shops.etc) from all around the world... See @twomoo1119's emphasized explanation of a worlds fair above...

A world’s fair is a gathering of people from many parts of the world, at which they demonstrate their products and their arts, and promote their homelands.
In case you didn't know, that's what a world's fair is.
Pavilions would just be small building INSIDE of the big building in the HOST town.
The big building would only be built ONCE THE TOWN IS NOMINATED. Only the HOST town will build it.
We may run events, they have not been decided yet.
Small towns are welcomed to build pavillions inside the host town's building but it is unlikely for them to be nominated to host for a while.

Beta for now, if someone wants to make an alpha one go ahead but I'm not organizing it.

Not sure if I don't understand you or you don't understand me but, only one town builds a huge building per fair, the host town.

Pavillions will be built around a week-a few days before the fair in the big building (that only the host town has)

If like the pearl suggestion but let's keep it in towns for the first few.

If you are suggesting something else, I'm sorry, I have failed to understand it.

Ahh ok, there is just one reason I don't like that idea. The fair is stationary so it's harder to change things or put in a new cool idea. Also people stay in one spot so the scenery is the same and you can't explore the host town.

But that would practically defeat the point of trying to make it cheaper. I think if your a wealthy town who wants to host, you should be willing to spend a bit of money on the event. Don't just do it to have it done with, do it to make it a memorable fair.

I realy love the idea of a meep World Fair !
but the point of building a mega build where several other pavilions need to fit in, only to use it once?
Tbh i don't think there are this manny towns that are able to afford this ;s

Here are somme ideas i had in mind,
1) put a limited on the amount of towns that can enter each (monthly) World Fair.
This might create a waiting list so
2) Add a waiting list for towns that want to enter with a pavilion, Add a second list for towns that wanne organise the event
3) towns that enter the World Fair will be placed on the end of these waiting lists

thats all i got atm i hope it helps or brings new/better ideas :)

Why should the host town invest a good deal of money into a building if they can only host once? Logically, the fair should switch towns every time, so why not just make it outdoors?
