I have seen this now multiple times while online and i have decided to make it a forum post just to bring this clearly important issue to the table.
I believe that the loss of items caused by clear lag can confuse noobs when they drop an item for their frond and it disappears randomly. While the chance of this may be small, i think it would be beneficial to everyone to re-add clear lag warnings with notifications at 10 seconds to clear and at the moment of clearing at the very minimum.
This would reduce chat spam in comparison to "normal" clearly (from my experience on other servers) as well as massively reduce item loss from players doing drop trades or buying items
