You have probably already heard that I am attempting to make a chat overlay mod for minecraft, but in case you haven't, here are the details.
The mod is (being) designed to display external chats from commonly used services such as Teamspeak or (see Update 1) Skype side-by-side with your in-game chat. This will save time because it eliminates the need to pause minecraft and switch applications every time you want to see what someone posted to the chat.
While this may be similar to overwolf, a pre-existing teamspeak overlay mod, I have found that overwolf is a windows-only application that does not (at least to my knowledge) have any integration with other services (like Skype).
If you use an external communication service to talk to your friends while in minecraft, send me a link and I can look onto including it in the mod!

UPDATE 1: it turns out Skype has made some changes to their API and i cannot find any working, official libraries. So for now the mod may be limited to just teamspeak...
