One Year
Hey meepers!
One year ago, on July 21, 2015, I joined MeepCraft. I underestimated the experience that I played through, but Meep turned out to be the best server that I've ever played on. I really appreciate all of you that have been involved in the great parts of my Meep life. I guess that I should tell my story. It's not as simple as you might think.
My Story
First of all, the first day that I've been in Meep was NOT July 21, 2015. I don't remember the date exactly, but I think that it was some time in 2013. Minecraft 1.5 was about to come out, and lots of Minecrafters were excited. I was then playing Meep in 1.4.7 on a different account, living the average life of a typical Citizen. Then 1.5 happened. Minecraft 1.5 brought a lot of eggplant to my client on Meep (and I bet to a lot of others too), but then something insane happened. Something that made me leave Meep for over a year was before me.
I was taking a stroll along the 2012-2013 Spawn (seemingly the best one) when it happened. I was constantly being teleported back to the same block, and it seemed to be that others had the same problem. It was very bad server eggplant. REALLY bad. I kept eggplanting for like a minute, then timed out. That was the last time I'd see Meep that year and the year after that. Upon attempting to rejoin, I was presented with the "Downloading terrain" screen. It never finished. Though I tried to rejoin many times, I couldn't get in.
I pretty much forgot about Meep for 2013 and 2014. I was mostly playing on other servers. I also obtained a new account. Then, on that July 21, 2015, I remembered Meep! I wondered what was happening and if it was even still up. I joined. I still remember to this day being welcomed by the Supreme-at-the-time @DeerlandingXD. Deer made me feel welcomed, and I truly do appreciate that. I joined a town in Beta and lived the typical life of a Citizen. That changed one day.
I was looking in Global Chat when I noticed that something was wrong. I filed a modreq, and it was answered by the Mod-at-the-time @Jalapenos. He said that I was mature about my report and that I would be a good Staff Member. Although I don't plan to become part of the moderation staff, he still told me to be more active on the server. He recommended TeamSpeak too. I became more active in Global Chat. I'm a bit more active on TeamSpeak. I'm still on my way to being active on the Forums. I don't really like social media that much, but I'll probably be able to use the Forums more if I try enough.
Without @Jalapenos, I'd probably still be a nobody, and I most likely wouldn't have written this post. Thanks dude. Now I'm here today, a part of the Meep community. You guys have helped me so much. This server means a lot to me. Thank you. ♥
Other Somewhat Fun Facts / Stuff
- In this year's time, I've gained over 4,000,000 Meebles. I have like a bit over 4M in my balance and around 200k in my Beta town's bank at the moment.
- I'm currently a Citizen, but I want to ultimately end up with Tech. I like programming, but I feel like I need more experience to even have a shot at being Tech.
- I inherited my Beta town.
- I'm a Commander in Arcadia, a Beta nation. (Thanks again, @Jalapenos. ♥)
- I have a very deep voice for my age, which I'm not disclosing. You might know that if you've listened to me on TeamSpeak.
- I like the "i need a loyer" joke. xD
- My first name is actually Timothy. The "J" and "H" in my username stand for my middle and last initials.
- I like my Citizen rank.
- I have an office in Meep. It's in Suburbia, Arcadia in Beta. If you ever want to talk about something with me in-game, we can meet there if that's okay.
- Since July 21, 2015, I'm pretty sure that the most time that I've been inactive for is one week, maybe not even.
Drop Party (HAPPENED)
I want to celebrate today. I'm thinking about doing a 100k drop party around 7:45 PM EDT (changed from 4:00 PM EDT) if I can. These are the items I plan to drop so far. Leave suggestions for more items!
