When I first became active around here, @SpongeyStar was among the many staff I saw every day. Back then, I didn't know anyone, and no one knew me. So staff didn't seem like players to me, because I had never even spoken to one outside of a modreq. In fact, I never really knew Spongey at all before her resignation. So these past few weeks when I've spent plenty of time just chatting with people, I haven't spoken to Spongey directly in-game very much. After having a few coversations, I can honestly say she is one of those people; you always walk away from conversations in a better mood than before, no matter how bad your day was.
It's often so hard to read emotions on a screen, but whenever Spongey says anything, you can just tell it's genuinely happy. That kind of attitude is rare, for sure. This doesn't mean Spongey can't discuss serious subjects, but takes it all in with a positive outlook, but not in an immature way. Everyone knows how well Spongey did as a Moderator, and why she resigned. If this has been fixed, and she feels ready to take this back on, is there any kind of reason to deny this???
