When did you join Meepcraft? Around May 24, 2015. I actually thought I joined this year.
Introduction: Herro there. My name is Jonathan. I’m seventeen years old, my last year of high school coming right up and I still have no idea of what I want to be. Looking at different apps and Deljikho's "Tips about applying," I'll try to keep things short and aim at the "Why" part more. I love to draw. Although its not a passion, drawing is something that calms me down the most, and I let my imagination go everywhere. I love imagining my own stories, even though they’re based off other things really. I'm mainly a quiet guy, which might seem silly from my “activeness” in meep saying "lol" in different chats. However, it is true. I'm quiet in class, with my family, and most with others. Yet, if you get to know me more, you'll find out that I'm a pretty caring guy, or so told by a friend of mine. I love psychology and I might study it later on in life. It’s very interesting to the point where I ask my teacher everyday about different topics. He gets annoyed at times, which I find funny. I’m a Spanish speaker, coming from my parents. Usually when there’s a Spanish speaker on in spawn, I try to help them as much as I can. I’m also the mayor of an Alpha town (Rebellious) and an assistant in a Beta town (Braveheart), both in which I have made great friends. I joined Rebellious and was given mayor after the original mayor had to quit for personal reasons. Throughout this experience of being assistant and mayor, I have been able to help new players fell like they’re at home, welcoming them into the town. Although Rebellious is not as active as it was before, I am trying to remove plots and leave them clear for new players.
Why should you be Helper? Why should I be helper? Well, looking at the tips the amazing Deljihko, I might as well make this a bulleted list.
• Experience: Although I have not been a part of any kind of staff on any server, I have tried helping others. When I could answer something, I try to help. Sometimes others post the answer and I can’t post, but still. I tried. I’ve been through the stuff that some people go through when making modreqs, such as being griefed, rollback taking all my stuff away from me, and even lured, things that happen to everyone at times. Yet we all move forward. Whenever a Spanish speaker joins (haven’t seen many lately) I try to help them as much as I can. I try to help when I can. I know most commands and I will continue learning commands.
• Work Ethic: So I had to think of this at first. Everything has a beginning and an end. When met with a problem, I try my best to solve it, no matter what it is. From the simplest things to the most difficult things in the world. That’s the kind of person I am. If I had the opportunity, I would ask for help. Its good to ask others for help, because at times, you learn so much from them. I would continue till the end to work, knowing I have accomplished something. Probably got this part wrong, but I tried my best.
• Dedication: Ever since I joined Meepcraft, I was always on. Maybe at times I wasn’t, but that was because of personal reasons. I continue loving the server, even though EULA came, even though Meep has declined in players, even though toxicity happens. I still continue to love it and support its ideas all the way. I would continue playing Meep till I grow up or it shuts down, which I doubt will, because we have a great community of players.
• Involvement: I’m at times active in global chat, mostly when there is either A) An argument (in which I try to stop), B) when someone says something funny, or C) when someone asks for help. There are other things of course, such as just to bring up chat. In TeamSpeak, I am not as active, mainly because of my personality. However, I sometimes pop in and out of TS. And on forums, I usually go around and look in threads and post something or two. Mainly I look at fun threads, but when there’s a thread where it gets really “spicy” I join in.
• Performance: Again, I had to think here. Of course I’m not perfect, not everyone is. But I always try performing my best on Meep. There was only one time where I got kicked, when I was playing along on a spam. And yes, I felt excited, but not glad at the same time. It could affect the judgment of others when looking at me. I won’t do anything foolish again (it was pretty recent now looking back at it). I will stay at my best performance.
What are your weaknesses? This will also be a bulleted list, since I know I do have my weaknesses.
• Procrastination: This is not that much of a problem, but I do procrastinate at times. I put things that are more important first, and leave the little stuff for another time. It might happen in the server, that being on my alpha town, but I will improve.
• Personality: This is my biggest weakness. I’m just a shy, caring guy. I don’t have much friends in school, but online I kind of do. You can call me anything really if you think that this is sad. But the people you meet online are sometimes the nicest people you’ll ever meet. I try to be as active as I can, trying to talk to others. But, in the end, I’m just shy. I will keep going, however. I can overcome my shyness.
• Emotional: Now this is my other biggest weakness. I love my friends, my family, and usually others. Whenever something happens to them, I just break down. My heart is sensitive. Say something about me that is the truth, and I could fall. But don’t think I won’t fight back. I try to hide all my emotions and keep them out of the way. Things just happen.
• Maturity: It’s a weakness I can also improve on. Being raised around a family that is technically strict, I can become strict at times, yet I also love to have fun. Its something I can fix easily.
Please give any other information you might think is useful for us to know: Well, I guess being in an IB school is useful? I doubt it. If you get to know me, you’ll probably find me as a good, loving, caring, kind person. Or maybe not, that’s your opinion. You, the reader, are the one who’s going to judge me. Some people know how I act, what kind of person I am, and what I do in Meep. My friends and family know what I do in real life. Its up to you, the reader, if you really do trust me in being a part of the staff team. And even if I do not get accepted, I will always try to be the very best I can be to prove myself.
