+/- Honestly I do talk to photoave12 and have never know him to be impatient (well atleast towards me) I talk to him whenever hes on he does seem to be really into coding although I do not know his skills when it comes towards plugins or java, I did tell him to try learning java so that if and when he becomes tech the techs do not have to teach him from the ground up. He seems pretty mature when I talk to him both in team speak and minecraft

The point is, that you still have 0 experience making plugins. Meep does not need someone who makes mods, they need people who can edit, make, improve, fix plugins. From your github, it seems as though the only thing in Java that you have is the “MinecraftChatOverlay” which basically is minecraft decompiled, as you have spoken to me about. The only changes I have seen are setups for what you apparently are going to do with it. This is definitely not enough to show that you have the skills to be a developer, and certainly not what meepcraft is looking for.

The fact that you have not made a plugin yet also means that you have not spent enough time working with minecraft/bukkit. I would strongly suggest that you first work on learning, then apply.

First of all, HTML and CSS are not programming languages. They are considered markup languages. When I last spoke to you, you had no experience with the Bukkit API, and that is just about mandatory for techs to know, not including other API's like Vault. Please take your time to learn how to actually code minecraft plugins and test them on a local host, to further hone your skills for developing MC plugins. Several things about the caps detection code that you have made. First off, toLowerCase() is not something that you made, as it's already something with regex. Second, there really isn't anything wrong with our current caps detection system.
I was with blendycat in that teamspeak channel when you were asking him how to do it, and it clearly was not understood easily by you, and took him at least 5-6 times to explain how to simply use regex.
I think the best option would be to just spend a little time, doesn't have to be *too* much, and just keep learning: from the Bukkit API to more advanced Java topics.

Lordusan took the keys right out of my post. After skimming your application you seem to have plenty of experience with HTML/CSS but its not that huge of an accomplishment, no offense. MeepCraft is much more than simple markup languages because most plugins require their own API or the like, as lordusan said.

Prior to this application, you should have already had experience with the Bukkit API or at least something similar to creating plugins before you filled out and posted the application.

-1, even though I don't frequent Meep anymore, you wouldn't be a great addition to the tech team because of your inexperience.

You applied for helper and recently asked for it to be denied. Saturday it was denied therefore it has not been 2 weeks. After an app is denied or requested to be denied you have to wait 2 weeks. You seem rather impatient and that isn't good for a tech. We need them, yes, but if you are difficult to be around that's an issue

being impatient isn't good, especially with coding (ITS SO HARD)
Anyways you DEFINITELY improved your app, that was a really good read.

just keep working on your flaws and wait a while before (fully) deciding on applying for helper or tech.

You seem to have a bit of experience, but you don't seem to have a lot of experience in the Bukkit API. Although you may be fluent in other languages, you should get more familiar with Java and the Bukkit API. Meep should give you a small project to test your skills before considering you as Tech. Good luck.

I understand many of you have cited my inexperience with making plugins as a reason I shouldn't be tech, but, I would just like to point out that I have taken an interest to quite a few of the trello cards that i have seen some of the staff posting recently. I won't list them all, but here are a couple trello cards that I believe I could get done in very little time at my current level of experience:

Impatience is I big role in coding, but we do need a lot more techs, try to work on your patience skills, it will do you well in life. If you have no idea how to do this, start by helping out some slow typing 8 y/o who know almost nothing about minecraft with making money/ a town. You can find many of these roaming around Mooville.

I've known you awhile and never really paid to much attention to your level of impaitence and it's not really that high but it is noticeable, I have known you for about 4 months now and you're a great guy and I know you wouldn't abuse this rank at all. You definitely deserve the rank but does this rank deserve you?! :cow:

While we do need some more techs, I don't think you possess the right qualities (and maybe abilities) that a meepcraft tech should have. I feel you act like you know a lot more than you actually do. Your ideas aren't the best and you can be very annoying. I think adding you to the tech team would just make others techs jobs harder. Sorry bud :/

We need techs.... I know that it shouldn't be the deal breaker but Adrian is hardly terrible, albeit impatient. He also clearly has the abilities. I think there is a need for him rather than a want. +1

I would just like to point out that school starts very soon for me and I'm going to have to drastically cut back on my Minecraft time while I get a feel for my homework load. From what I have heard, being tech is a huge time commitment and I feel like I would be much more useful if I became tech at the very end of the school year.

Just throwing that out there for consideration

I'm not sure at this point. I wanted to ask if it would be OK to be inactive during the school year if I become tech or maybe just get promoted and demoted every summer?

I honestly thought my app would be decided upon by this point so I never really thought this far ahead. Lesson learned

If you come into tech with the knowledge of being inactive it is wise of you to pull your app. We need active techs who can jump on whenever is possible. I understand school comes first so if you have any doubt whatsoever about being active I wouldn't suggest going forth with this application. Tech is a different process than helper and people don't realize that which is why your application hasn't been handled in a timely manner.
