I am Ethan Lawrence Hookey although most people on this server will know me as etha_lightflame. I am sixteen and live with my family on a hobby farm with goats donkeys chickens and ducks. Although I have stated that at this time I do not have "Team Speak" I currently looking into downloading this program. I look forward to hearing from you. Why should you be Helper? From the moment i joined this server, I have wanted to give back by providing player assistance to anyone needing help, as everyone on this server has been nice. I have had people on this server ask if I could help them, even though I am not yet a helper. I still try to do my best to help others/solve their problems. I have talked to staff and other people and I seem to be on track. I may be new to the Meep community but I believe I can help and would be asset to the Meep team. What are your weaknesses? Kryptonite...but no seriously, I believe my weakness would be that sometimes I rush my thoughts but I have been working on that by thinking about how i want to respond before quickly responding. And am working at slowing down to edit my work. Please give any other information you might think is useful for us to know: I am able to get on things pretty quickly and also have extraordinary long term memory.

I'd say be more active and helpful in chat, get used to Ts, be active on it, and be more mature in global (msgs you can say anything) and yea. Do you have previous bans?

All these things can be changed in the future, but atm I don't believe you are ready. Good luck though

Edit: I found out who you were and I have only heard bad things about you. So a new player died in wild so I gave him a free diamond set and tools. After doing so he asked me if I owned a beta town because he didn't like the one he was in before. From what I heard, you don't seem like the nicest person. Then when I have him my first shop on meep so he could start to get more money and he left ur town and I made his plots residential again. He freaked out because he left some mob heads behind. When going back to ask you for them, you were very rude and told him to leave or you would toggle pvp. This is not what I would expect to see from a helper.

I was actually pretty shocked to hear you were 16, I thought you were 12 or something because of the immaturity I've seen from you. Fix that.

However, you seem like a nice guy and you are very active. Just try to be more helpful. Also, you will need TS if you go through to interview because it is required for the interview, staff meetings and it's just good to socialise with the others on ts.

Your app was pretty short too. Try elaborate more in your why. But I love how you are gonna overcome your weakness. That's a great start!

Hello Etha. To start off, your introduction was a bit short. From reading it, I now know your name, where you live, and that you don't have teamspeak. Unfortunately, this isn't quite enough. I want to know more. Are you funny, intelligent, chatty, etc.? Your introduction didn't tell me anything about yourself really. Next, your why. You explained that you want and try to help in game. However, you didn't explain your positive qualities which would make you a suitable fit for a staff member. What do you have a knack at that would help the staff team out? In game, I have noticed you can be a bit immature. Everyone can be, I admit I am sometimes too. I also noticed that you're relatively new to forums. I believe it would be a good idea for you to explore the forums and familiarize yourself with everyone here before you should be a helper. Currently, I stand at a -1. However, don't let this discourage you! I believe that if you put your mind to it, after some time, you would make a great helper!

So, I recently had an encounter with you where I was showing a new player around. He joined your town and I came with him to help him get affiliated. Sadly, you didn't seem to want to a) work with me or even b) have me around. You got defensive quickly, told me to leave and that you had it. Independence is good but frankly to me that came off as a bit rude. You ended up helping him though so kudos.

Try to work a bit more on forums activity, global activity, teamspeak (https://www.teamspeak.com/downloads) activity and your next (if needed) application.

You haven't played the server for even 3 months yet. This may not be a weakness but there is no possible way you can fully remember and know every towny/creative/skyblock/other worlds command. I know you are not required to know this much, you are supposed to understand the basics of towny, and 2 months of playing simply doesn't do it.

Firstly, I highly doubt you play eight hours every day. When you are online, I rarely see you engaging with other players. Also, you're brand new to the forums, and don't have TS, which means you are missing 2 of the 3 forms of activity. Given, in-game is the most important, but the others are required as well.

This area strikes me as incredibly weak. It's the classic case of, "I know a lot about you, but I don't really know you." Except for a few instances I've seen you in global, I never hear from you at all. Therefore, this section needs to tell me what goes on inside you. I don't need to know what your real name is, I need to know what goes on inside your mind; what personality you have.

The Why

Why should you be Helper?From the moment i joined this server, I have wanted to give back by providing player assistance to anyone needing help, as everyone on this server has been nice. I have had people on this server ask if I could help them, even though I am not yet a helper. I still try to do my best to help others/solve their problems. This is what helpers are supposed to do, but I certainly don't see you doing it. Perhaps this is just what I see, but get yourself out there more!

So your weakness could be considered reckless or impulsive? I'd say you have a few other weaknesses as well, which I will list below.

So, here are some things I would like to point out.

Application

Firstly, your application was very weak. When writing an application, consider these questions:
-Does my introduction tell someone who has never met me about who I am on the inside?
-Does this application use proper capitalization and punctuation?
-Does my "Why" convey why I should be accepted?
-Are my weaknesses truthful and accurate?
Read over your application, checking each section for the answer to each question if needed.

Things to Work On

In your application, you listed what could be summed up as impulsiveness as your weakness. Here's some more things I'd suggest working on
-Forums Activity
Pretty self-explanatory, but become familiar with the way the forums works. Interact with the people you may not see in-game because of timezones!
-Immaturity
This is the thing I feel is holding you back the most. Even if we love playing around, there's a time and a place. Maturity is knowing when that time is.
-Reputation
This sounds odd, but you need to have a reputation. When people think of you, what do they think of? Ironically, for me, the first thing I picture in my mind when someone mentions you is the baby duck you have mentioned many times. It may sound arrogant, but build a name for yourself! When people associate you with compassion, patience, and intelligent, you will have a much better chance.

As someone who has no life, when I'm feeling good I get 8-12+ hours of activity in, and that's while I'm still doing school. Its summer, kids can play more.

Online 8 hours a day is easy, @Muunkee does it all the time . . . by leaving the computer logged in overnight.

For the app I'm gonna say -1. I honestly thought you were younger than you say due to your rather heavy immaturity, you can be difficult to talk to and work with.
TS is a requirement - you have to attend your own interview and its goof to participate in meeting and just be in general active on the full server.
You have almost no forum activity, that is upsetting. We don't bite I promise.
I have not seen you help out in chat, despite being on at the usual times you are, and you can still help when you're not a staff member (and please do! Your app was pretty lacking altogether. Look in accepted apps for more details and sort of an example. Don't copy, of course, but feel free to use some of those as inspiration or an example.

In short, activity is a big issue and a little effort can go a long way. Try applying again in another monthish after trying to be super helpful and mature and being active all around the server.

Hey Etha, I'm going to go with +/-. I'll keep it simple as I don't have too much to say.

I've seen you ingame quite a few times, and I can sell potential in you. I honestly think maturity is something that you can work on. One of your best traits from what I've seen is your willingness and dedication to the server.

Work on your maturity, activity and overall friendliness on the server, and I think you have a good shot.
You've really got lots of potential, keep on playing and interacting with the community.

OK I can answer some of the things on this.
1. I said 10 hours because i have a little irl schedule so if I wake up at 9 I can play till 9 pm.
2. I have no ban history on any servers.
3. I am still trying to understand forums and I am on it somewhat.
4. I know he app is short but I tried to answer questions in a well written lay out
and last.
5. I do not understand what makes me immature if you mean by me in chat saying I want to be a tree that's just me trying to fit in in some awkward way I will try to improve thou and thank you for your input.
also I asked in chat if you all thought i would make a good helper to see if anyone would be willing to be reference because my in game friends were offline I also clearly stated i applied for helper "wish me luck" not trying to be all oh look at me I was just saying i wanted to be wished luck on my application.
I am sorry if I am not involved enough to you in the community I will try harder.

Also I do not see why majority of you are shocked at my age considering I am usually the one filing either valid reports telling people not to spam chat/cuss and assisting people when staff are busy and taking responsibility. If doing that counts as being immature I have no clue what dictionary u looked up maturity in, because I know people irl who made my life a living hell due to their inappropriate attitudes ego and language and being bullied majority of my life. After looking at your previous, some of them deleted posts, it is quite clear to me that you cannot handle criticism.
If your only response to ''you are immature'' is ''I am mature I'm just making immature comments to fit in'' you aren't doing it right. Being mature is being an example and acting your age, acting unlike someone young and refraining from silly comments that people don't like.
My favorite thing to say. Act your age, not your shoe size. Just keep working on it, there's no need to argue, if many people comment on your immaturity then there is obviously some issue.
