This thread was brought up in the past, but was never completely looked over. I believe that /pack should include items that require a 2x2 space to craft, such as glowstone from glowstone dust, netherbrick blocks from netherbricks, etc. This is something that /pack should've done all along, turning a block of items into the actual block.
