So my idea is that we add a command called /welcome that when used makes a person send a msg that says "Welcome to Meepcraft" (or something like that) to whoever joined last. This would be good to make it more convenient for us to welcome people and to make the community seem more friendly to the person joining.
To prevent people from spamming, we could make it so you can only use /welcome once on each person, and within a set number (2 or 3) minutes of the "Welcome [player] to Meepcraft!" message.

At first, I thought this was a wonderful idea that would save people so much time in welcoming those who have just joined. After giving it more thought, I think it would do more harm than good.
1. The techs should be working on other projects.
2. It seems a lot less real and welcomeing when 6 people send you the exact same message. And giving messages variation would be even more work to the techs.
