As stated everything goes from person to person, an example on that is that last year(aka 6 months ago) when everyone was stating that ranks are only worth 500k per 10 usd, i was still selling ranks for 750k-1mill per 10 usd. So it depends on the person, if you want something bad enough and the person have the money well then the price will go up.

The egg itself is mostly worthless but he happened to get something of actual value from the deal so he made a lot of money with the deal I'd say (3 mill profit overall).
