July 17th 2015 Introduction: Hello! My in game name is Pepermint2939, but everyone just calls me “Peper”. I have been playing on meep for almost a year now, and I have met so many people in the past 11 months. I’ve made so many friendships with people who I would probably never know in real life since we live in different cities, states, or different countries. In real life my personality can vary depending who I am around. For example, with my friends, I can be loud and energetic then in class I’m calm and collected (most of the time). I don’t disrupt the teacher when he/she is talking, I write stories in my notebook, and draw maps for the mini worlds I thought up of (during our breaks).

So, as I said before, I write stories in my freetime. I am currently writing a story called “Alice”. I have four chapters written, though I have to edit them, proof read them, and make sure there aren’t any holes in the plot so it makes sense. The story is about a girl named Alice who’s was a ghost and she comes back alive then looks for her murderer, finds her old friends, and sees how life changed after her death. I will be writing the Fanfiction soon, I have a plot for it, I just have to work out the details and actually write it. Some of more of my hobbies are singing, watching anime (I have A LOT to watch…), talking on TS/Skype with my friends, stalking people on forums, playing on meep (of course), and shipping everyone.

Other than that, I am also taking ASL as my world language at school. I absolutely love the language and I excell at it compared to other students. One day when I am older I want to become a full time ASL interpreter or an elementary school teacher. In other subjects I don’t completely apply myself, but I really do want to start working hard going into my sophomore year of high school. I’ve found a few colleges I would love to attend and I understand if I don’t completely apply myself now, I may not have the best chance of getting into the school of my choice. Why should you be Helper? I should be helper because I love to help people. I try to help as much as I can, whether it’s a simple question about a command in global chat to helping a new player find a town and understand the basics of towny. I have been a co-mayor/assistant in three towns. The first was Oregon/Fiore. I was co-mayor for at least three months and I learned most of the commands here.The other I am going to be co-mayor/have been co-mayor (name undecided). I am an assistant in Braveheart. I can easily problem solve. I’ll analyze the problem and attempt to solve it quickly while making sure the player is happy and satisfied. I really want to give back to the meep community, help new players have the same meep experience as I did, and feel welcomed instead of leaving as soon as they log onto the server due to being confused. I am also very friendly and try to make new friends each and everyday while making sure that I am keeping up with my responsibilities in real life and on meep. What are your weaknesses? Procrastination: This is a huge problem for me in game and real life. I’ll plan to do a huge project (like building a store or making the fanfiction) without planning before hand then I end up abandoning it, leaving a mess, and disappointing people. I can also be easily distracted, though I will be working on it. I am starting to set small goals for myself then work from there to stay focused and do what I need to do. I’ll start planning before hand as I have done this before and it has helped me. I can be very determined at times with things that are very important to me and meep has become one of the most important things in my life as I am trying to be active everyday on forums, TeamSpeak, and Meep itself. I can’t guarantee that I’ll finish everything on time, but I will try to finish things to the best of my ability and get them done as soon as possible.

Maturity: I can be quite immature at times. Though I try to joke a lot, as I am a playful person, I tend to overdo most of the time. I also overuse “!~/~” and “xD”, but I am also working on this. I will only use this when greeting people, welcoming them, saying goodbye, congratulating someone on a new rank/achievement, and every so often when I’m happy or excited as this does annoy some people. For the “xD”, I will try to use “Lol/Haha” so my chat in global doesn’t look like spam.

Confidence: I can doubt myself at times and this has caused me to hold back from doing what I really love to do. For example, before I rejoined TeamSpeak again, I felt shy even though all of my friends were in the same channel and probably would have loved to talk since it had been a while since I was on Ts. Then during the school year I was supposed to get tutoring in the library, but since yet again I felt shy and nervous.Though this is something I could easily fix as I can easily warm up to anyone after talking for a bit, and you’ll see a different side of me that can be friendly, kind, and funny. Please give any other information you might think is useful for us to know: The last time I made an application and uploaded it to the forums, I had an overload of stress in real life with some friends and family. I also completely rushed making my application and feel I could have spent more time on it.

I will not be available on meep from 6am to 2pm for the rest of the week and next week (weekdays only). Though, to make it up, I will try to be active on TS and forums.

For procrastination the only tip I can give is to suck it up. I struggle with this too but usually I'm procrastinating rl stuff by doing staff work. If you need ways to make work fun come to me and we can work modreqs together (there is no rule you have to do everything alone!)
If you are denied by best advice is to talk as much as possible on teamspeak. That is the best way staff can tell you are ready.

Aww, thank you marshy! xD I think I'll start with helper first because higher postitions require more responsibility and I'm not ready/qualified for that yet, but maybe if I do get accepted and work hard, maybe I'll get it one day haha

A lot of people said that I am really "bubbly" or "really happy" even "too happy", but that's mostly because a lot has happened in my life. A lot is even going on right now, though I won't go into details. People have hurt me, people who I really looked up too or thought would be there for me. People who I haven't spent as much time with aren't probably going to be here next year due to illnesses. It's just you have to really make the best of things even though it's feels like it's getting worse. We're going to go through more difficult things as life keeps going. We just have to hold on and go through the storm so we come out a stronger person.

Perhaps due to time zones, I see you get on a little later than myself, but once you're on, you're all over global every single day. I don't believe the numbers presented accurately represent your activity; I would speculate it is far greater than that. While you are constantly online, I rarely see you do much here on the forums. Though, forum activity is nowhere near as important.

This section starts out very much in the green, but then slowly trickles down to the black. The first paragraph is spot on of what an introduction should be. It tells me less about what you do, but how you do them. The second paragraph is what throws me off.
In all honesty, it doesn't have much to do with your role as a future staff member, nor as a person. To me, this is more of a thing you would mention while talking to an individual person, in conversation. The third paragraph doesn't really tie it together, for me. I believe it is relevant because it ties in to your personality. However, it doesn't pull together the other paragraphs. You start with your shortened IGN, and end with plans to go to college.

Overall, this is very strong section for me. This tells me of your experience with commands, ability to work with people, and how you feel you could make a difference. It also addresses a very real problem in that most who join leave in confusion. Any time you are on, I see you welcome the new person every single time. Speaking from my own experience, I know this can get very repetitive and boring after long enough.

Procrastination is probably my biggest concern here. I know firsthand what happens when you let a project sit. Honestly, there's not much more to discuss about this, as you have laid out how you plan to deal with it.

In your specific case, this is not even close to a weakness. Nobody likes the "all business" type when not dealing with serious issues. I don't foresee this being any kind of issue in any way.

For some reason, it seems so much harder to actually talk with these people you've never met face to face then it is in typing messages back and forth. Considering you made a deal just earlier today that you would sing in TS is enough people came to Infected, I'd say this isn't a problem.

Summary

After reading through this several times, combined with my own personal observations, I conclude there is hardly a case against your acceptance. Therefore, I say +1 on the grounds of maturity, activity, confidence, and community interaction.

Hey Peper!

You are a joy to be around and an overall fun and perky person. You've helped in global, chatted on teamspeak and thats great! Forums could use a bit more work but I mean thats not too important. About global, however; you do a great job moderating yourself and such, but when you see a question you don't know the answer to, just take a stab. I find myself repeating this a lot but its okay to not know everything. The staff team really embraces asking for help/detirmenation.
