So, my suggestion is to delete alpha, give compensation to town owners/nation owners, and give ample warning.compensate nation owners 200k per town in there nation, compensate town owners based on there amount of residents, give 90k for hamlet, 120k for settlement, 150k for village, 200k for city, 220k for large city, and 300k for a metropolis, also give a 1 month warning.
onto war,
War would be mainly decided by nations, not towns, towns would have to join a nation, when they made there town they would have to do /nation 1 /nation 2 /nation 3 and it would show a each nations stats, then they would have to join a nation. nations would chose to fight, they could pay a fee (say something like 20k a day) for neutrality, this would be divided up between towns, in the form of something added to upkeep, which could be payed for by raising taxes, nations could do /n set town (town) (capital) this town would be exempt from upkeep/added nation stuff, this upkeep would be added to the nations upkeep, this would lead to the capital citys of nations being rich, something that is pretty accurate to real life, if a nation doesn't want ot pay the neutrality cost, it is open for declarations of war by other nations, not quite sure how the fights could be, i would suggest something like every time somebody from your nation wins a minigame/gets a kill in kit or something, they would add a % of a point, the first nation to 100 points wins the war or something, but it wouldn't just be anybody from a town, the nations would be able to recruit members to be registered fighters, only there things would go towards the nations scores, the nations would have to pay the fighters, with a minimum pay per fighter being 25 meebles a day, now once a nation won, they would have a few options, they could ransack, wich would make all the losing nations towns switch to the nation that beat thems side, and the losing nations towns would have +1k to upkeep for the next 30 days, the nation would be deleted, along with its nation bank. A winning nation could puppet state a nation, where the leader of the nation that won got 60% of the nations total wealth (60% of all town banks and 60% of the nation banks) but other than that the puppet states would carry on as normal. a nation that felt like it was losing could also surrender, if they surrender they have to pay a "fealty" added to the nations upkeep to the winning nation forever, the fealty would be something like 5-10k a day.
At this point your probably wondering, why? and the reason is, a lot of meepers, once they become wealthy, start a town and become succesful, lose interest in meep, because there nothing to do. This would add something to do, it would increase our (increasingly vacant) minigame lobbys because people would be worried about the consequenses. It would strengthen our community not fracture it, and would increase the meaning of a nation, while still respecting towns.
Nations would also now cost 5 million, and immediatly 1mil goes into nation bank.
As for a reset, I would suggest a meeptax to help the economy, anyone with a balance 1-499k pays no tax, 500k-2999k pay a % of there bal, 3000k-10mil pay a slightly lower percent, and 11mil+ pays a even lower percent, this takes money out of the eco, it encourages working for money and trying to move up instead of "eh, i have 3mil this is boring now". You could also add purchaseable nations/towns for real $$, not sure if this complies with EULA, but it doesn't give an advantage? you could buy a town for 5$ and a nation for 60$?
Now, I'm really bad with figuring out what numbers would actually be realistic, I know that 20k a day for peacfullness is probably too much, but these are my ideas.
