I felt all so inspirational by seeing other peoples threads and just felt that I had to share my story.
My friend bought me a Minecraft gift card for my birthday. I was a real noob at using it and when I first opened the game I dug down to holes and freaked out because I didn't know how to break dirt. Now I'm building slot machines with redstone. Lol.
I was in search of a Minecraft server that had Parkour. I absolutely loved parkour and couldn't find the right server. All other servers I looked at were either too busy or too empty. However, when I came across Meep it was just right. I don't remember if I was welcomed but who cares, I am still here. I, being a new Meeper was quite oblivious to the new commands since I never really went through the tutorial so I was talking to myself in local for about 3 weeks until someone saw my chats to myself and pointed out to use /g (thanks whoever that was!)
After I got quite active (2-3 months) I decided to take a stab at joining the staff team. That, didn't go so well since posting a thread 'I LOVE MEEPCRAFT' didn't really help my chances at boosting points for my application :D . But I knew it wasn't the right time for me to apply so I obviously got denied by Karistar. I didn't even take it that harshly too because she was so nice to me and like a best friend on the server. I applied again, in early 2015 and got accepted for interview. My interview went surprisingly well and I got accepted into the team. It was a real shocker to me and I told myself I will do well but that didn't go down well either. After being scolded at by a previous staff member (that I will not name) for not doing my job well, I tried to take a step up but all of a sudden I was demoted. RIP. Maybe it wasn't my sort of thing. After a few more applications that kept getting denied, I took one last stab at it and got in. I knew how things went in the team and how I had to work so I put all my effort into it. This round through I was actually more knowledgable about hackers and ACTUALLY banned hackers. Then after a few months I got promoted to Moderator which really made me feel great. But then, I resigned.
Aside from my staff story, Meep has been amazing. I made so many awesome friends here that if I were to name it would take me a week or more. All of you reading this are in my friends list. Been there to support me and have fun laughs and inside jokes. Even after the EULA you all took it surprisingly better than I thought it would go through, so kudos to you.
Sometimes I think to myself, where would I be if I never found out about Meep? What if I never had Minecraft?What would I be doing right now? To be honest, I love Meep so much (that I donated) that it has made such an impact on my life, on the good side of course.
