Most serves ARE 1.9 but stop calling meep staff lazy. It is hard for staff to update to 1.9, and make sure that all new glitches and exploits are patched. I can imagine it would be very stressful. If they miss one glitch, one bug, then it could quite possibly destroy the economy (depending on bug of course). If you want to play 1.9 or 1.10, then play on another server. No one is forcing you to play on meep.

Meep is not going to 1.9 (yet) due to hate of the pvp update, however, meep is compatible

I don't pvp but I really hate rpgs, and thats what minecraft is turning into.

the game is becoming harder to understand and they had 2 updates within months of eachother. Microsoft/mojang is going to run the game to the ground because most players are younger and not as technical - or smart as older players. Minecraft was great in 1.7 and since 1.8, this game is running downhill, imo.

if meep updates im honestly quitting

in order to get to 1.9 we need to rewrite towny entirely, thats the roadblock.
spigot may be 1.10 but many of the plugins the server uses are not, hence my suggestion thread for donations specific to this cause, i believe we need to hire outside help to get this done before the next 18 months pass.

Towny is 1.9 compatible. Did you not know that? The only thing that doesn't work is protection against the new potions, which I have developed a patch for.

Are you sure? There are more non-pvpers who hate it than ones that pvp. Of all the people I've talked to on other servers, they've all told me they play 1.8 servers because they dislike the update.

If not, you don't know how feasible the 1.9 or 1.10 update is.

If you're using some bum copy paste port plugins from online for stuff yeah im sure, but meep has its own plugins that nobody else has.

OK, so meeps staff is lazy because there not updating and updating takes a few seconds, but the plugins wont update. have fun playing town with no protection on your land no /home no /t spawn no shit like that.
